Blue Ridge Canine Academy

I have been apprenticing at Blue Ridge Canine Academy for a few months now and can confidently say that the Cameron and the team are incredibly knowledgeable. They have immense compassion for the dogs and owners that come through the business, and yet have still made time to teach me and develop my skillset as an aspiring trainer. Cameron’s mentality as a trainer is focused on growth and individualizing his approach to each client. This has been great for me as it has given me a window into many different aspects of dog training, instead of being pigeonholed into one modality or way of thinking. Cameron’s love for knowledge translates into a very motivated teaching style, and has given me a space to ask all of my random questions and receive a thought out response. Everyone who works there is great at what they do and foster a positive culture based around enthusiasm, adaptability, and the eternal pursuit of knowledge. I’m very lucky to be training in this environment and hope to one day be able to attain both their level of finesse in training dogs, and the culture that has been fostered here.

To say we are impressed with what Cameron and Courtney have done with our English Lab Hudson is an understatement! We started Hudson with private lessons when he was 4months old . Cameron was very knowledgeable and patient …especially with us . He helped us navigate the rough stages of puppyhood. At 7months we decided to do their Board and Train program. After 4 weeks we were blown away with the progress. Courtney was incredible with Hudson and again very patient with us. We meet for several lessons during the board and train. This was very helpful to us . It's truly amazing to see your dog transformed. Words really can’t express how pleased we are. Many thanks Cameron and Courtney for your passion, patience and hard work. We would highly recommend Blue Ridge Canine Academy to anyone !

Could not be more pleased with Cameron and the Blue Ridge Canine Academy team. We just brought our pup home after 4 weeks with Cameron and his team this evening and we now have a well-behaved, well-trained pup that we will continue to enjoy for many years. We can now take her out and about without fear of her running off, chasing other dogs, jumping up on people, etc. If you have any interest in dog training I highly recommend his board and train program. They are the BEST!
