Becca and her staff are amazing people! Extremely compassionate, knowledgeable, and accommodating. My two dogs have experienced a combination of private and group sessions, as well as a two week board and train and all were wonderful!! Working with Becca and her team has helped immensely with managing Indy and Bama’s big feelings and building their confidence, as well as strengthening our relationship. BlackDog is amazing!!! Cannot say enough good things. I adopted my dog Fender about a year ago as a rescue after he had been attacked by a group of dogs. He was understandably very fearful of most things, and I wanted to find a trainer to help him work through his anxieties. Within a few months of working with Claire and Becca, Fender had almost completely overcome his fear of dogs, and started to learn the world wasn't all that scary. We recently started the on-leash reactivity course as well, which has given both myself and Fender tons more confidence in how to manage and prevent reactivity triggers on walks. All the trainers at BlackDog really work with you, and connect with both your personality and your dog's personality to set you up for success. I've learned more about dogs and dog training in the brief time I've worked with BlackDog than I have in my entire life. Highly recommend!!

BlackDog Training saved my dogs life. As a lifelong dog owner and semi-professional horse trainer I was certain there was no dog I could not handle.I’ve adopted many dogs and have never had any problems. Until I adopted a 4 month old puppy. This dog had extreme anxiety, a deadly prey drive, and was shut down and avoidant. For the first time in my life I understood how behavioral euthanasia was a real consideration for some deeply traumatized dogs. Thanks to BlackDog, I now have a healthy, happy, well adjusted dog that can be in a pack or alone. We both owe BlackDog our lives!

We just moved to the area and were searching for a new trainer for our reactive dog. We came across BlackDog and were recommended to work with Claire in her reactive dog class. We are SO glad we did! Our pup has been through a ton of training so we were able to use his skills in a monitored environment to desensitize him to other dogs and people. He LOVED Claire (and he hates everyone). Claire is amazing with reactive dogs!
