About Best Paw Forward
We offer a variety of positive reinforcement dog training obedience classes for all dogs and handlers. What does positive mean? We reward the behaviors that we like/want. We get those behaviors by using methods that do not use fear, force or intimidation. We reward by using praise, treats, toys, life rewards, etc. Trust and cooperation are the root of our relationship-based training. Our methods are based in the scientific learning theory of animals. We are dog behavior geeks and love what we do. Many of our classes are offered at several skill levels. Whether you intend to go on to shows, trials or just want to have a great dog, we have the right fit of classes for you. Everyone learns in a fun, positive and safe atmosphere!

I cannot say enough good about what we have learned with Pam, Lisa and Claudia. We started with a different training class in menomonee falls and we were still having problems walking even with a pronged collar. Our standard poodles are litter mates and training was challenging. I had good success with the menomonee falls training with my siberian, about 20 years ago. So I was familiar with their ideology and some training methods. I looked into Best Paw Forward and was skeptical. I got to know Lisa and Pam over time and thought....we need to try a class with them. I was not able to grasp how positive reinforcement could be so useful and effective. I am so glad I was teachable enough to try something different. My dogs are well mannered when you enter my home. At 55 and 80 pounds, we were very concerned with their behavior. They walk politely and are very responsive to commands. No, our dogs are not perfect. I was not looking for perfection when entering the class. Yet, on two separate occasions, I was able to stop their pursuit of wildlife, one rabbit and one duck, with a command from 50 feet away. I will always recommend Best Paw Forward. Thank you for your help and teachings!

Our puppy loved going to class to learn in this controlled environment. Pam and Amy were amazing to work with and consistently made themselves available during and after class to answer questions. We highly recommend improving your relationship with your dog by going to Best Paw Forward!
Just completed the puppy kindergarten with our black lab. He learned a lot and enjoyed the socialization! They email you notes the day after each class so you dont have to remember everything.

A recent purchase of a puppy led our family to research many dog trainers in the area. Although we had trained dogs in the past, this pup was not responsive to some of the commands. We reached out to the staff and they walked us through some tips, we registered and completed puppy kindergarten, and have signed up for the Basic Class. There is NEVER a time that your dog cannot be trained, we are extremely satisfied with the level or instruction, personal attention, professionalism, and frankly the RESULTS. My wife came home frazzled from the first class, our pup was a handful. As the weeks progressed, there was significant AND obvious improvement and the pup is truly a great addition to our family. Thank you BEST PAW FORWARD. A++++++++++
