My Ellie and I just wrapped up our first session at Best Friends Dog Training and we absolutely loved it. When researching trainers, they had the most descriptive website and were the most communicative when signing up. They were extremely welcoming from day 1 and you truly felt like family by the end. Their approach was gentle and informative. My girl learned so much and we had such a good time each week. We are looking forward to continuing on to the next class!

Connecting with Rachel and Jeanette at Best Friends Dog Training has been an exceptional experience. First and foremost, the results speak for themselves. I have a deeper, better, more communicative bond with my pup than I did before working with the trainers here. They helped me work with my dog in a way that SHE understood, allowing me to mitigate issues like being over-energetic, biting during play, and lacking the ability to settle on her own. All common issues with a rescue pup. Was I feeling frustrated, like I was banging my head against the wall trying to resolve them on my own? YEP. Were the solutions to these behaviors rocket-science? NOPE. But Jeanette and Rachel provided the “why” behind the “what” and helped me understand the nuanced, subtle tweaks to my dog’s training that they recommended. Another key part of working with them and reason for the great review is their individualized approach to each dog. Training methods that work for one dog may not carry over and resonate with another, and the team here understands that masterfully. Watching them work with my dog using a specific protocol and then seamlessly shift the approach when handling another dog reinforced the concept that they deeply understand dog behavior. As great as they were with my pup, they were equally as professional to deal with. Quick responses, transparent pricing and flexible scheduling were all big pluses. When I rescued my dog I started researching training options. Best Friend Dog Training provided the most clear information on their website. Between the class information and pricing information they gave everything upfront. Then I was able to speak with Jeanette about my training goals and immediately knew they would be the perfect fit for me and my dogs. So far we have taken Beginner Obediance and Canine Good Citizen, as well as a handful of private/semi-private lessons. The entire team is so encouraging they make you feel good about attending classes. Sessions fly by and you can really see every dog and owner improving. Rachel is extremely supportive and knowledgeable about owner/pet relationships. After a few classes I felt like she really knew and understood my needs as an owner and how to suggest different approaches that were effective for me and Spinach. Rachel and Jeanette have been so helpful with providing guidance on how to manage our reactive dog. Overall in both Spinach and Artichoke we have seen a boost in confidence and obedience which has deepened our relationship and bond. I can not wait to continue to explore more training options. Both dogs LOVE attending class and rush through the door every week.
