Best Friends Dog Training

Our puppy, Aimee is a 60 pound, 12 month chocolate lab with endless energy and enthusiasm for every human and dog! We worked with three other trainers before connecting with Best Friend but made little to no progress in knowing what to do with Aimee. By the time Aimee was six months old, we had considered that adopting her might have been a mistake. Aimee was among the worst behaved puppies at our first group class at Best Friend. We have since attended private, semi-private, and other group lessons at Best Friend. The trainers, Rachel and Jeanette, really get to know the puppies and their parents and tailor their sessions to meet the specific needs. Aimee is coming along so very nicely! The training received at Best Friend have made a world of difference and I highly recommend their training for other puppies and their parents!

Highly recommend Best Friends Dog Training, everyone there is incredible. I took my dog for Canine Good Citizen training to prepare her for her Therapy Dog test and she passed because of how incredible the 6 week training and prep classes were! It is evident how much Rachel, Mandy and Jeanette care about all of the dogs in the class and how structured the 6 weeks are to get the dogs to work towards the end goal. I truly enjoyed these classes so much and will definitely be taking my dog back for more in the future! Very well priced classes as well.

The trainers here are gifted. They not only understand dog ( and human) behavior, but they al have an exquisite understanding of the behavioral nuances characteristic of each breed. My dog and I started taking classes at Best Friend an over a year ago, at the recommendation of our veterinarian. We started in the Puppy Stars class when she was just over 3 months old, and continued with Basic Obedience, The Next Step”, and Canine Good Citizen classes, taking several of the classes more than once. Our goal was to become a therapy dog team and we reached that goal this past week. Although I was excited to have reached our goal, I was also sad we would not be attending class weekly, where we watched not only our dog, but so many others transform under the expert guidance of Miss Rachel, Miss Jeanette, Miss Mandy and the rest of their staff. I HIGHLY recommend this business, you will not be disappointed!

Best Friends Dog Training has genuinely been life changing for myself and my dog and I cannot recommend it enough! My three year old lab mix, Ruthie, and I have been attending weekly group classes for the last year. Ruthie is so smart and sweet, but has a short threshold before becoming overstimulated. For a long time I felt like I wasn’t a good enough dog mom for her. I easily became overwhelmed when she started barking at other dogs, people at the window, squirrels etc. and I felt like I was failing her. She is so different from our first dog and I had lost all confidence in myself. She could tell I when I was anxious and it riled her up more and we would get caught in an endless cycle. I put off going to a training class because I was worried we were “too much” and would be a distraction to other dogs and owners. From the first class Rachel and Jeannette went above and beyond for us. They are Ruth’s biggest cheerleaders and every single week set her up for success. They have taught me how best to support her and have given us the tools to work successfully as a team. They are so kind to both Ruth and myself and I feel so much more confident handling Ruth than I did a year ago. She has made tremendous progress in class and our every day life has improved. She even earned a trick title, in a class with other dogs, which a year ago I thought would be impossible! Even in a group class we still receive one-on-one support and guidance. Rachel, Rachel and Jeannette have changed our life. I will forever be grateful for their patience, support and positive reinforcement. ♥️
