Back To Basics Dog Training

We had a great experience with Wen Tze training our reactive pup. Our goal was to get him to stop pulling the leash, react less to other dogs while walking, and to stop jumping up on people. His behavior improved quite a bit and it's so easy (and such a joy) to walk him now! I do want to mention though..I think the reason why some people would be less satisfied is because people seem to think that they can just drop off their dog and their behavior will just be fixed. This is just not realistic. You will need to be present and to learn alongside your dog. If you commit to this and also practice with your dog outside of the training sessions, you will see great progress!

We had the BEST experience with Miss Jenn and Back to Basics Dog Training! Jenn was an expert in training our puppy, and she learned so much in just six short weeks! In between our sessions Jenn offered extensive feedback and tips, and was "on call" with any of our questions and concerns. Our puppy loved her and was so excited whenever she came over. We would highly recommend Miss Jenn to anyone looking to train their dog at any age!

She not only helped train our dog, Winston, but also gave us the tools and confidence we needed as dog owners. Thanks to Jenn, Winston is now so well-behaved and a joy to be around. We had a wonderful experience with basic obedience classes for our new-ish rescue dog. He learned tons after just the first of three sessions, and our trainer, Jenn, was extra excellent with our 11-year-old so he could learn to handle his friend. Jenn also taught us how to teach our dog should we want to add skills in the future and was v ery available by text when we got stuck. I felt like Jenn and owner Wen really listened to what our dog needed, added very helpful suggestions and got great great great results by the end of our time together. Bonus, Jenn had Sunday availability so the whole family could participate. Would 100000% recommend!

I can’t say enough great things about Back to Basics!!! Our rescue puppy struggled with leash reactivity, anxiety around people, and stress around other dogs. Wen Tze thoroughly and efficiently assessed this and developed an individualized training plan for him (and us!) based on his specific needs. She is patient, understanding, and willing to meet any dog where they are. She consistently checked in during the week (even during weeks we needed off due to scheduling) and was always available for questions. She even let us bring our other dog to help with our puppy’s training, and even he improved after just one session! We are so grateful we found Back to Basics and will definitely be using them again.
