Back To Basics Dog Training

From the first phone call I knew Back to Basics was going to be a good experience. I have taken my reactive chihuahua to multiple training programs before finding back to basics. If you have a reactive dog, Wen Tze will be the trainer for you! The training consists of 5 weekly sessions taking place outside. Your dog will learn the obedience basics in the first three sessions & Wen Tze will give daily homework to practice in 15 minute sessions home. Then, for the last 2 sessions Wen Tze will incorporate other dogs in the sessions. Your reactive pup can practice his obedience in real time with other dogs around. This is game changer compared to other training programs where your dog is alone, and not being put in real life situations where other dogs are present. After 5 weeks my chihuahua has improved a lot. My dog and I have learned the tools to practice on our own. I feel very relieved & more comfortable with my pup!! I’m no longer anxious to take him on walks in my busy neighborhood. Thanks Wen Tze!

Wen Tze is amazing! We have two mini Dachshunds that needed a lot of work and training. Otis (9 y/o) was very barky at home and Benny (2 y/o) was very reactive towards kids and other dogs whenever we would walk. Wen Tze taught us how to correct their behavior during walks and getting their attention, and it has definitely helped out a lot. We had weekly homework and she would check in to see their progress. In the past, Benny would bark and lunge at other dogs, but after the training program, she is definitely less barky/reactive and we know how to get her to focus her attention on us instead of other dogs. Now we feel more confident when walking. Thanks again for training all of us!

We had such an eye-opening experience getting our almost 2-year old Chihuahua mix into a new training space. Our dog is already thriving in B2B’s daycare space, Posh Pet Club, but still has leash reactivity problems and anxiety around other leashed dogs which we wanted to address with B2B. Working with our trainer Jenn to tackle some behavioral habits early on and continuing to build our dog’s confidence with each new training has really made a difference. The heat of this summer was a challenge at times but we definitely recommend working with this team and giving yourself and your pup a lot of grace during the process- Jenn’s trainings and cues have helped us immensely with ensuring our dog feels focused and calmer while out and about!

We brought our Corgi in for a two week board and train to work on her leash reactivity. The amount of progress Wen made in two weeks was leaps and bounds more than we could do in a year. She not only made great improvements with her reactivity but also brought her up to speed with basic commands that our dog follows so well now. Post-training Wen has been very attentive, reaching out to us asking how our followup is and answering any questions we have!
