At Whits End Dog Training

I enrolled my 5.5 month old English golden retriever at Whits End. Matt came out for a consultation, and we signed up the next day! He is extremely knowledgeable about dog training and always has tips and tricks to help. They are incredibly responsive and send photos and videos during training! He was totally understanding of how much I missed my baby girl. Once we got her back, he warned she may be a bit stubborn while transitioning to my control from his. However, I didn’t have any issues at all! She listens to everything I say, and is the dog I’ve always wanted! I’m so impressed for a young “toddler” pup! We did the 3 week board and train and she is great at obedience as well as on and off leash walking. I will forsure be taking all future pups to Matt and would highly recommend sending your pup her. I especially liked this because I was supporting a small business instead of a large corporation. His whole family is involved as well as his children. I loved that she got to play with his children and his own dogs. Highly recommend and worth every penny!!

I am a bit late on posting this review after our graduation. But 5 stars all around. I bounced back and forth on making an investment in my dogs. It was after we started having some aggression issues that we weren’t able to control that we decided it was time. I looked for weeks for a trainer that I felt confident in and that I could trust with my 2 fur babies. Matt was amazing from start to finish. My dogs have improved so much. They are more attentive to me, so much better on our walks and we have even been able to control some of their bad backyard habits barking at pedestrians. They still have a ways to go, but he gave us all of the tools and knowledge to continue our training after our program was complete with him. I know that if I ever have a question, I can always reach out for help and advice. The biggest thing for me was that I never felt pressured or that I NEEDED them. Even though clearly we did. They really made me feel that they cared what was best for my dogs and not pushing for money or extra services. That meant a lot since I had some bad experiences with other trainers I consulted with. I will be using them for board and tune in the future and when anybody ever is looking for some help training their dogs, I will be recommending At Whits End.
