Don't know where to start with how great Matt & Candace are. Our dog bit a neighbor's dog (neighbor's dog is completely fine BTW). We were in a new house & no yard/fence yet. My daughter opened the door and he bolted. It was a perfect storm that had bad results. We decided we needed help to make sure it would never happen again. He also needed help with whining and following commands. We looked at other trainers & had several calls with some before contacting AWE. After meeting with Matt, I knew right away this was who we were using. After Matt's in home assessment he suggested the 8wk training so that's what we originally signed up for. He didn't believe our dog was truly aggressive. Again, perfect storm. A few days later the city wanted him out until we complied with a list of items. Our 8wk in home had to quickly turn into a 2wk board. Candace contacted the city & got us an extension as they were going out of town and couldn't take him until they returned. Matt & Candace went above & beyond for us. Sent us video's to keep us up to date & also made several calls to the city to ensure once we complied we could bring him home. After 2weeks after he passed his CGC, the final requirement. Matt has been to the house to check up on him, and we're scheduling another "check-up" soon, which is free lifetime with the B&T. I would recommend AWE to anyone with basic behavioral problems to aggressive & anything in-between. Thank you guys so much. Hiring a dog trainer was a first for me. I wanted to learn from a real professional and find someone who I could trust. Matt offered just that for me and Hazel. He came in for the evaluation and was very clear about everything. I opted for the board and train to have Matt help lay a foundation I could build from and I couldn't be happier with the results. Matt and his wife Candice were great every step of the way and we're always quick to answer any questions I may have had. Again if you're looking for an amazing trainer stop and give them a call now. I can not even begin to express how much Matt and Candace changed our lives and our rescue Jaxsons life. Jaxsons history is unknown to us but we know he is a 95 lb boxer/bully mix who thought he ran the house and us! He was VERY agressive, demanding and extreamly pushy. He jumped and climbed on every person who walked through our door and terrorized the local kids by jumping and snarling through our fence. We were so afraid he would get out we zip tied and bungie corded every single gate. We even chicken wired the bottoms so there was no chance of escaping! We were literally at our whits end! It was stressful and he was often kennelled 50% or more of the time. We contacted Matt and he was literally a miricle worker! He responded so well to Jaxson and with in 5 min of the intial meeting Matt had a totally different dog then we did! Once we started our session we saw exactly what Jaxson was capable of! Now please keep in mind we have only had one session and worked with him for exactly 48 hours, following Matts exact instructions and our dog is 150% different. Jaxson no longer is jumping and snarling at the fence, he is not jumping on company or even thinks he runs the house. We can now leave food on the coffee tabls and he wont touch it!! But this is not the miracle. Last night Jaxson escaped our yard, he followed me out of the gate!! If this had been a week ago we would have panicked and freaked out but due to his training and the collar jaxson came when called and even went back home with no issues. The neighbors were outside he didnt jump or chase them! Dont get me wrong we are putting in the work, as Matt has advised us we needed to do. Jaxson has a schedule of 20 to 30 min sessions 5 to 6 times a day, but with the techniques and training Matt has shown us we have the dog we always wanted! Matt and Candace both have weathered all our multiple questions and phone calls, and have always been gracious and patient in answering us. We couldnt have asked for more with them! This is only after one session and 2 days of hard work, I can only imagine what the future holds! When Matt said he could be an off leash dog I seriously doubted it but now I believe he can be! If your looking for your dog to be that well behaved, mannered, loveable, stressfree dog, then hire Matt! This is worth every single penny plus some. If i could give more the 5 stars i would. Thank you Matt and Canadace for literally saving Jaxson and giving our family that hope!

The night before Matt came to do a demo with our 55lb German Shepard/Boxer mix, Marshall, I called my husband while he was at work sobbing and telling him I couldn't handle him anymore and we need to find him a new home. My husband, a firefighter who works 24 hour shifts, rescued him the week before Christmas when he was 5 weeks old from a fire at an animal hoarder's house and he has been with us since. As he grew, he became increasingly difficult for us to handle. He had hurt me more than once from pulling on the leash or jumping on me. I am 7 months pregnant with our 2nd daughter, so this made the situation even more difficult to handle. I was truly scared for the safety of myself and my unborn daughter, as well as the safety of 4.5 year old daughter and my 5lb chihuahua mix, not because Marshall is aggressive but because he is a big baby who is so hyperactive and persistent and doesn't realize how big he actually is. After the demo Matt did with Marshall, I was crying again but this time because I felt like there was hope for Marshall and our family. Marshall just got back from his 2-week board and train program and I couldn't be more thrilled. He honestly came back an entirely new dog. I am no longer anxious and stressed about being home alone with him when my husband is at work. I was able to take him on a walk for the first time in a LONG time. He listens well and is manageable. I no longer worry about him around my daughter or how he will be around a newborn baby.. Matt and At Whits End Dog Training is well worth the money and I am SO glad we found him and decided to try this last thing before moving forward with re-homing him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
