Asheville Dog Academy

We did the three-week board and train with Violet at Asheville Dog Academy, and from start to finish, the experience was incredible. Yes, it’s an investment, but Asheville Dog Academy made it really manageable with payment plans, and if I’m being completely honest, the results have been priceless. Before Bear went to training, everyday life was hard. Walks were stressful, getting his attention felt impossible, and any sense of structure or responsibility just wasn’t there. It made bringing him places or even just handling day-to-day things really overwhelming. Now, it’s completely different, in the best way possible. Life is so much easier, calmer, and more enjoyable for both of us. Bear is happier, we’re happier, and everything just feels balanced. I especially want to highlight Violet, because she truly deserves it. She is incredible. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but you can tell how much she genuinely cares about the dogs and their owners. She treated Bear like her own and was so intentional with everything she did. During Bear’s stay, there was also a major winter storm that hit Western North Carolina, and even with that going on, Violet made us feel completely at ease. We knew without a doubt that Bear was in the best hands possible. That level of trust meant everything to us. She kept us updated every single week with videos, which meant so much to us and made it amazing to actually see his progress from day one. The transformation didn’t just happen overnight, you could see the work, the consistency, and the thought she put into him. And what I really appreciated is that it doesn’t just end when you pick your dog up. Violet took the time to walk us through everything, made sure we understood how to continue what she taught him, and really set us up for success. We just had our follow-up, and it was so eye-opening. I love that this kind of continued support is included. I had read all the great reviews before choosing Asheville Dog Academy, and now I can say this is 100% the real deal. This was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our lives. We’re so grateful, Bear is thriving, and if we ever get another dog, there’s no question where we’re going. I cannot recommend Violet or Asheville Dog Academy enough.

I have no idea where to start!!! Zoey used to be extremely reactive to everything, which made taking her anywhere stressful and honestly overwhelming for me even just stepping outside the neighborhood. I spoke with several trainers, but most felt unprofessional and very expensive. Asheville Dog Activity was the last place I reached out to, and after speaking with Chris, I immediately felt heard and understood. He truly listened to my frustrations, and that meant a lot. Today was Zoey’s final session, and I couldn’t be more grateful for Rebecca or more proud of Zoey. The transformation has been incredible. We’ve taken her to Lowe’s, Hobby Lobby, breweries, HomeGoods, REI, and even dog parks and she’s done an amazing job every time! We constantly receive compliments on how well-trained she is. This experience showed me that it’s not just about having a great trainer (which they absolutely are), but also about putting in the daily work to build your dog’s confidence. Rebecca and Chris gave both Zoey and me the tools and confidence we needed, and I truly couldn’t have done it without them. Thank you both so much!❤️
