FirstBarkDeWayne is a fantastic dog trainer who is fully transparent through the entire process. We selected the two week board and train for our 8 month old German Shepard. The daily report cards, which include both videos and photos, allowed us to understand the process and use the learnings going forward. I would highly recommend Anchor Up Academy to anyone!

Dewayne was awesome and very easy to work with. Training our golden doodle started in the back yard and as sessions progressed we moved to the front yard and walking around our neighborhood. All training was play driven, not treat driven. He even brought his dog to work on our dogs reactivity. By the end of 10 sessions we were walking better on the leash, able to calm down quicker, and my favorite command "drop it" that I use almost daily. I would recommend Anchor Up K9 Academy to everyone and would use him again in the future for some reinforcement lesson for us and our dog.

Dawayne is very communicative and helpful throughout the process. He takes the time to answer and questions or concerns we had. Chief does very well with commands on the leash and walks are much more enjoyable. He has a better understand of personal space and boundaries when new people come into our home and with our own children. We are so thankful we found Chief and even more grateful he was able to successfully complete training.
We did a puppy training with K9 Academy and they were amazing!!! We have not had a puppy in a long time and it is also a smaller puppy than we normally have, lots of barking. We did a puppy training with K9 Academy and they were amazing!!! We have not had a puppy in a long time and it is also a smaller puppy than we normally have, lots of barking. Dewayne was so good at focusing on the relationship with the dog more than the obedience commands. He did this in all the different games he created for our puppy. We are so happy we hired him, we still need to work on more training, but the basics are done, including way less barking, and our puppy even learned new tricks we never thought of. We would Highly recommend K9 Academy for any training.
Dewayne and Laura were amazing with our dog, Tilly! She came back more confident, calmer, and no longer jump on visitors. We could tell the trainers really cared and customized the training for our dog. Highly recommend!
