Anchor Up K9 Academy

Whiskey was reactive around people and other dogs. Whiskey is no longer reactive to people. Dwayne still works with us after the board and train to fully eliminate reactivity to other dogs (much better and manageable with Dwayne’s techniques). Whiskey is almost there and Dwayne will not quit until we have the final result we are looking forward to obtaining. As far as obedience and play goes, whiskey is a much better dog. I loved the many videos to show progression of training, wellbeing of my pup, and training tips to understand how to continue training when the dog gets home. Dwayne also spent time getting whiskey reacquainted in the home (not all board and trains do this).

I can’t say enough about DeWayne Cabel and Anchor Up K9 Academy. We adopted a rescue from Hope For Life Rescue. We were having some issues with training Luna. My husband has MS and Luna just wanted to jump on him. Mr Cabel is a great communicator. He stepped right in to help. We got daily report cards and videos. It was obvious that Luna was happy and loved him. It was a relief to see DeWayne loving on our girl while training her. I feel that not only did we get great training, but also a lifelong friend. We dropped our 10 month old chocolate lab Dixie off for a 3 week board and train. She is a sweet pup but had issues with crating, separation anxiety, pulling on the leash and jumping on people. Our trainer DeWayne met with us prior to give us an overview of the program and to meet Dixie. During her stay we got daily videos, pictures and a recap of the day. It was nice to see her progress along the way and the way she was loved and treated during her time away. She got lots of playtime and interaction with our DeWayne's family. I really loved that her training was not treat based and was filled with positive reinforcements and praise. DeWayne took the time to bond with her and really understand how Dixie learned best. He was always available for questions. He took Dixie out in social settings and stores and her transformation from an overexcited, overstimulated dog out in public was just amazing. Now she can be out and about on a leash and be her truly friendly self with calm and awareness how to act. DeWayne went over what they learned and how to reinforce it at home. She loves going on her walks and playtime and now it's fun for us too. I can't recommend this board and train enough. It made a huge difference in her behaviors but also in ours. The love and care she received in her board and train set a foundation for her living her best doggie life!

I was dragged around by my Great Dane, she peed and pooped in the house. After her training I was just so pleased with her results that it was like having a new dog. I would recommend everyone that has a dog with any problems to go to Anchor Up K9 Academy. Dwayne is an awesome trainer. I received updates of my dog everyday. I even got to go with him on some training sessions with my dog. He is a very good listener and gives awesome results. Get your dog trained here!
