I’ve had 3 training sessions with Avi so far, and the difference we’ve seen in such a short amount of time has been incredible. We have five Chihuahuas, with Keto being our reactive one. Before working with Avi, whenever someone came through the door, all five dogs would erupt into barking. I honestly thought having a multi-dog household was going to make training much more complicated, but Avi immediately knew how to approach it. From the very first visit, we saw a dramatic change. He quickly identified that Keto’s reactivity was driving much of the chaos, and once we started working with him individually, the other four dogs began calming down as well. Seeing that happen during the first session was pretty amazing. What has impressed me most is Avi’s experience and ability to look at the dynamics of the entire household, not just the behavior of one dog. I had done a lot of reading and research before hiring a trainer, but Avi has helped me understand things I hadn’t considered before, including how Keto’s behavior is being reinforced and how our responses can either encourage or discourage it. His methods can seem surprisingly simple, but they’re extremely effective. With every visit, we’ve continued to see progress. Keto is beginning to understand what’s expected of him, and the overall energy in our home when someone arrives is noticeably different. We actually look forward to Avi’s visits every week because we can see the training working in real time. We still have work to do, but after only 3 sessions, I’m extremely happy with the progress we’ve made and excited to see how much further we can go. I would absolutely recommend Avi, especially to anyone dealing with reactivity or the challenges of a multi-dog household.

We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Avi and Affordable Compassionate Dog Training. Our dog Micky is a very special boy. He is deaf, has some neurological/behavioral challenges, and came to us from the Bahamas through BAARK after a very difficult start in life. Because of that, he can be nervous, easily startled, and extremely protective of his family. We are now five homeschooling sessions in with Avi, and the difference in Micky’s confidence has already been so encouraging to see. From the beginning, Avi has treated Micky with so much patience, kindness, and understanding. He never looks at Micky as a “problem dog” or simply tries to correct a behavior. He takes the time to understand why Micky is reacting a certain way and works with him in a way that makes him feel safe. Avi has helped Micky become more comfortable, more trusting, and better able to navigate situations that would previously have made him anxious or overly protective. He has also helped us understand Micky better and given us practical ways to communicate and work with him at home. It means so much to have a trainer who genuinely cares about our dog and recognizes that every dog is different. Avi has been incredibly patient with both Micky and us, and we are so grateful for the progress we are already seeing. We are only five sessions into this journey and are genuinely looking forward to continuing to work with Avi and helping Micky become the happiest, most confident, and best version of himself. We would absolutely recommend Avi, especially to anyone who has a dog that needs a little extra patience, compassion, and understanding. We've done two sessions with Avi and have already seen such a big improvement with our rescue dog! Avi is very knowledgeable and the techniques he's taught us have been so easy to incorporate into our everyday walks. The difference has truly been night and day! We also really appreciate that he offers in-home training and does not use e-collars or prong collars. Avi is truly one of a kind! When we got our puppy, we were definitely experiencing the “puppy blues.” He really struggled with redirection and needed a lot of training. After just about six sessions with Avi, I can honestly say he is a completely different dog—in the best way possible! The difference has been incredible. Avi is the real deal. He knows what he’s doing, and the investment is absolutely worth it. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help with their dog!
