Affordable Compassionate Dog Training specializes in Reactive dogs, Anxious dogs and adopted dogs. I deal with complex behavior cases that don’t resolve with basic obedience. I work in home throughout Broward and nearby Palm Beach, focusing on behavior rehabilitation through calm leadership, clear structure and fair practical methods.
My work centers on issues like reactivity, anxiety, fear based behaviors, impulsivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding and dogs that struggle to be calm. These are not quick fix problems. We adopted a dog from a shelter without realizing how energetic and anxious and insecure he was. He constantly wanted us to walk or play with him, but he was difficult to walk because he would try to slip his leash and bolt when he saw another dog. He cried and whined whenever one of us left the room. We called Avi after seeing on his website that he specialized in anxious adopted dogs. We were very impressed with his method and manner, focusing less on obedience and more on calming the dog, moving forward when he was calm, stopping when he got excited and waiting until he calmed down again. He spoke very little, communicating mostly with looks and gestures, making the dog feel comfortable. It has definitely made a difference in our dog's behavior and how we are able to interact with him.

Avi at Affordable Compassionate Dog Training is the best trainer I have seen or worked with in Broward. I work with a pitbull named Rocky who was reactive and had been labeled “aggressive.” Avi was able to establish a rapport with Rocky and identify that Rocky’s behavior was rooted in anxiety. And because anxious dogs don’t respond well to harsh training, Avi proceeded with patience and compassion. Rocky is now a different dog. He’s calm, friendly, curious and a joy to be around. Our Sadie Bear was an anxious dog with some behavior issues. Avi tackled each of her issues and gave us tools to help release her stress and stay calm. Today was the last day of our training and she has come a long long way! We will continue using Avi's instructions each and everyday =.) Thank you Avi!
