Sean and his team are absolutely amazing!! He truly cares about what would work best for our dog, her age, and personality as well as what would work best for us as a family and incorporates our individualized needs. We came to him because we were told that our, then 11 month old, puppy was being aggressive. After Sean met our puppy he was able to explain to us her body language and her specific mannerisms and what they mean and what we need to do in those moments. We have seen a huge difference in our dog and she has become so sweet and affectionate that she has truly become my dream dog!

My dog and I completed a 6-week training course, and I can't say enough good things about our experience. Sean has such a natural way with dogs and their humans—it felt like he truly understood what we needed. My pup struggles with reactivity toward other dogs, and Sean gave me practical tools to address it. I’m already seeing such an improvement! He also worked with us on building her confidence around loud noises (like weed eaters), which has been a game-changer. Not only was the training effective, but it was also so much fun. I was introduced to A Pet Perspective from a friend's Facebook posts. Her rescue dog was so attentive, calm and balanced. Come to find out, he was not always that way but had transformed into a perfect and enjoyable companion due to training at APP. My current pup Polu had recently developed some dog reactivity and I was at wit's end dealing with his constant lunging, barking (and in general being a total embarrassment) whenever we encountered other dogs on walks. Sean and Kaimana have been instrumental in teaching us how to manage his behavior by building a strong foundational relationship. They do not advocate use of harsh corrections, choke chains or e collars but simply giving dog and owner tools and confidence to deal with "big feelings" whenever he has a canine encounter. Polu has improved tremendously but we are still continuing training to build on what we have learned. It's been a work in progress, and understand YOU will need to put in the effort. Sean and his team teach you how to recognize canine behavioral signs (body language etc) and what to do to redirect-- and at the same time, allow the dog to make good decisions. It's a team effort. And builds a solid relationship that will allow you to navigate many different scenarios with your dog for a lifetime. This is priceless and will create a forever bond with your pet.

My partner and I turned to Sean and Kaimana as our last resort. We had recently adopted a rescue stray pup and thought we had a basic understanding of canine communication and care. It turns out we were in way over our heads. Once the honeymoon period with our dog was over, he became extremely aggressive toward my partner. Desperate for support, we called Petco, where they told us to match aggression with aggression. This only made things worse, leading us down a terrible path and creating more confusion and frustration in building a relationship with our new pup. Feeling hopeless and out of options, we finally reached out to Sean, praying he could help us reunite our family and build a cohesive home. When I called, my first question was whether he would even be willing to work with us. By then, our dog had already bitten my partner, his cousin, and even a child. Without hesitation, Sean agreed to help us on the spot. For the first time in this uncharted and overwhelming journey, I felt a glimmer of hope for our new family. Sean and Kaimana worked seamlessly as a team to teach us an in-depth understanding of canine body language, how to effectively communicate with our dog, and how to build a loving, lasting relationship. Their guidance gave us the tools to fulfill our dog’s needs and create a bond that continues to grow in every aspect of our lives together. I cannot overstate how much APP has transformed our relationship with our dog. The skills and tools they provided have allowed us to give our pup a full and happy life while developing the cohesive relationship we had dreamed of — a bond that is absolutely priceless. Every dog deserves to be understood, and Sean has given us the knowledge and support to do just that.
