Dog Training is very special to me because not only am I teaching dogs foundational skills but in some cases I am helping save some dogs’ lives by training them and helping owners work on building a strong relationship with their dogs. I attended school for professional dog training and behavior science and during that time I completed an internship at an established dog training company and volunteered at the Humane Society. Once I graduated, I chose to open my own dog training business because I wanted to give every client their desired results along with a great experience, which includes honesty, hard work, patience, and a game plan to achieve their goals.

I acquired this beautiful boy, Nitro, from Tyrese at A Howling Good Time. It takes time to get to know a new dog; his commands, needs, habits, quirks. Nitro needed to get to know me as well. Tyrese took the time for multiple training sessions and was patient with me as we made the handover. He answered all my questions about Nitro. Good experience. Enrolled my 2.5 y/o Dutch Shepherd for his aggressive resource guarding and general touch up on obedience. Before this training program, it was not uncommon to have to pull him out of a fight with my parents’ dog due to his possessiveness. I was no longer comfortable having him around other dogs, just in case he decided to possess any item around. He can now be around other dogs with even high value items like food and bones present without immediately attacking. Furthermore, I am now equipped with the training I need to use those situations as practice rather than avoiding letting him be near other dogs altogether. He not only learned and practiced during his time there, but I also got equipped with the skills to continue building on what he learned. I am looking forward to receiving the training videos that I can look back on for refreshers in the future. I recommend AHGT for the sake of a better life for your dog and yourself.
