I cannot say enough good things about Tyrese and his staff at a Howling Good Time Dog Training. My dog, Kobe, who was very abused as a puppy, has bitten 2 people. I was encouraged to put him on meds but I didn't want to go that route. I started Googling and was lucky to find Tyrese. He talked to me for 45 minutes the first time I talked to him. He told me all dogs are different and you train the accordingly. That really mattered to me. Tyrese is so calm and I like to say Zen. Kobe tried to attack him the first time they met but after the first week Kobe was much calmer. After 5 weeks, I am amazed at the change in Kobe but he is still Kobe. I would highly recommend Howling Good Time Dog Training!

I have a lovable blue nose pitbull who is sweet, but very stubborn. My trainers told me everything I told him was a suggestion, and they were correct. My pup loves people and other dogs but was very hyper and would bark and pull on the leash, NEVER listening to me. After our evaluation, I decided the 5 week training would be the most helpful. And I am happy to say I'm not disappointed. My dog is great on the with me. In public and around other dogs he listens and stays calm even when other dogs are not. He understands commands....sit, down, stay, place, heel....all things he did not do before. The trainers are nothing less than amazing. Professional, thorough, helpful, patient and kind. They love what they do and make sure owners learn as much as the dogs do. I would HIGHLY recommend bringing your dog if you want to improve behavior and learn how to be a better dog owner.

Our beloved dog for over 8 years was not adjusting well to the changes in our family (2 baby girls). Odin was the center of our lives and was still loved and given lots of attention even with the new babies in the house. But despite that, he was starting to show extreme aggression with them as well as any visitors we might have at the house and aggression going into his crate. It got to the point where we were scared to have him in the house and there was just no way we could risk even letting him around the kids. We tried vigorously but had no luck finding him a new home and it seemed like the only other option was going to be to put him down. I had actually just made the appointment with the vet for the next morning when a former co-worker suggested calling Tyrese with A Howling Good Time. I called their number on a Sunday evening….Tyrese answered. I explained to him what was going on and he said he wanted me to bring him in to see if he might be a candidate for his Board and Train program. Tyrese met with me and Odin and spent a lot of time observing his behaviors. He listened to me as well and then he explained to me that he understood his mentality and could train him to get past that with his 4-week board and train program. I trusted Tyrese, but I knew my dog well and knew how stubborn and selfish he was, and how impossible it was going to be for anything to get him to change. I told Tyrese at the time if you can break him he is going to be your Masterpiece. Well Odin started his training and the results initially for the first few weeks were not really noticeable to my wife and I. Tyrese sent us videos and kept us updated on the progress, but it was minimal at first. Then by week 3 we started seeing some progress and by the time the program was over and it was time to pick him up Odin was doing everything Tyrese said he would do at the beginning. Fast forward to now (5 months later), Odin has re-acclimated himself into the family. He knows his place and is no longer aggressive in the least bit to the girls. Amazingly he still has his same personality which we had grown to love over the years with him, but he now is much calmer when he needs to be and knows so many different commands. Everyone who knew him before is so impressed with what he can do now. We sent our 8 month old puppy to the 4 week board and train program, and could not be more amazed with the results. He used to constantly be pulling on the leash (and he's a strong puppy), and our first few walks since he's been back are night and day!! He now stays in the heel position and is much less distracted by whats going on around him. We also had our sons first therapy session in our home and Hank stayed on his cot (his place) the whole 45 min therapy session watching us. He used to spend the majority of the therapy session in his kennel barking. These are only a few skills Hank has learned, and we can't wait to continue Hank's training sessions.
