TJ at Zrodfx K9 is a truly remarkable dog trainer who has designed a program that encompasses your dog from nose to tail. I grew up around German Shepherds, and the puppy we brought home this summer was the 6th Shepherd I’ve owned as an adult. This was also the third time I would have three Shepherds at once. I never had issues introducing a new pup to my pack—until now. What unfolded in our home quickly became a living nightmare. The puppy came home in July, my senior GSD needed TPLO surgery in August, and my middle GSD, Gunner, became aggressive toward the puppy. After an incident where the puppy was bitten, I lost all confidence in Gunner and we went into full survival mode. My days were spent rotating dogs, keeping them separated, and constantly managing stress. Leaving the house was overwhelming, and our home no longer felt peaceful for any of us. I had in-home consultations with multiple trainers. One suggested rehoming the puppy or managing them forever by keeping them separated. Another told me Gunner might be “wired to kill.” Our vet suggested a behaviorist and medication long term. I felt like I was hitting nothing but dead ends trying to find help. My husband heard about TJ and Zrodfx K9 from a coworker. I filled out his website contact form on Friday night, TJ set up a call for us the next morning and spent 30 minutes talking with us. For the first time in weeks, I felt hope. That same day, TJ and his business partner, Eloise, evaluated Gunner at their facility, and I immediately knew we had found the right place to bring happiness back to our home! Their initial assessment was spot-on. They recognized that Gunner’s extra weight and arthritis were contributing to his behavior. Eloise’s extensive experience with German Shepherds provided invaluable insight. TJ and Eloise took a truly holistic approach, focusing on Gunner’s physical comfort, mental state, and overall well-being—not just obedience. I have worked with a lot of different trainers through the years and I can say that none of them looked at the entire picture like TJ & Eloise did! Throughout Gunner’s stay, TJ kept us updated with videos showing his progress. We had a vacation planned prior to any of this happening. Gunner was already with TJ & Eloise but they offered to board our puppy so Gunner and the puppy could be reintroduced in a calm, neutral environment. That level of commitment went far beyond our expectations. TJ & Eloise truly made their training program unique to our situation and it 100% set me up for success when it was time to bring Gunner back home. When Gunner came home, TJ and Eloise continued to support us every step of the way- they even came to our home about a week after Gunner was home. I was stuck in my head and hesitant to remove Gunner's muzzle and let him fully interact with the puppy. TJ & Eloise understood my hesitation and were more than willing to help me....the human....get over this last hurdle. They came and helped me confidently remove the muzzle. The rest as they say....is history! Today, our dogs coexist peacefully. Watching them play feels like a miracle every day! Gunner is healthier, calmer, happier, and even handles vet visits without medication—something I never thought possible. TJ and Eloise don’t just train dogs—they educate and support the humans too. I am forever grateful to Zrodfx K9 and wholeheartedly recommend them. As TJ says best, “we just want them to be happier”—and they truly deliver on that promise...for dogs and humans. 🐾🦴

Tj and Eloise are 100% phenomenal at what they do. Not only are they superb dog trainers they convey a caring and calm demeanor with the dogs they are training. We have an almost 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog, he was a wonderfully awesome yet bossy and stubborn member of our family. After moving from Florida to Colorado some of his rude behaviors become worse. I work from home and he and I have been side by side every day for 7 years, he developed some pretty severe resource guarding, his anxiousness become worse, anything out side of his normal routine made these behaviors even more troublesome. It became very difficult to have any company over at our house unless Mango was crated and unable to interact due to his severe herding behavior and over protectiveness of his home. Too many of our friends had their feet and ankles bitten. Mango also had began exhibiting some aggressive behavior towards my wife due to his strong drive to resource guard me. We have tried numerous other trainers over the years but none were able to really provide the type of training and advice that we needed. Upon meeting Tj and Eloise we were immediately impressed with how they interacted with Mango, quickly identified his primary issues, clearly explained what the training would entail and how they felt they could help considering they had plenty of experience with cattle dogs. After thinking it over for a week or so my wife and I decided to commit to the immersion training and entrust our loved family member to them. The results have been beyond impressive. After 4 weeks Mango was reintroduced to our home and the change in his behavior has been wonderful. With that being said, TJ and Eloise could be the best trainers in the world but it would make not difference if my wife and I do not continue to provide the structure and consistency Mango needs. Thanks to Eloise and Tj's continued follow up, home training sessions and their availability to continue to help assist they are giving us the tools we need to ensure Mango's success. In a lot of ways they are training us as much as they are training Mango. If Mango fails it will entirely be due to us not Mango. They unlocked Mango's natural instincts to follow and be led. I can't recommend them enough. I really believe that they can help the most challenging of dogs become good family members as long as the owners are willing to commit to the training and trust Tj and Eloise to do their jobs, they know what they are doing.

I can’t say enough great things about TJ as a dog trainer! I have a greyhound who came to me skittish and not crate trained, and TJ was incredibly patient and intentional in his approach. He took the time to learn about the breed and tailored his training methods to suit my dog’s unique temperament and needs. TJ is a fantastic communicator—he kept me consistently updated on my dog’s progress and made sure I felt involved every step of the way. The weekly training videos he provided were clear, easy to follow, and simple to implement at home. Thanks to TJ, I’ve been able to maintain the skills my dog learned and continue building on them. He’s friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend TJ to anyone looking for a trainer who truly cares and delivers results. My greyhound is happier, more confident, and thriving thanks to TJ’s guidance!

TJ and Eloise were amazing! They had my scared, over reactive 8 month old pup for three weeks. He came home a different dog but with his same affectionate loving personality. Before the program “Jax” was afraid of people, new places, and especially crowds! I think the pictures speak for themselves. First flight! I booked a private lesson while I was visiting in CS one day. I knew I had some holes in my training. The short time I spent with TJ & Eloise was a game changer! Great communication and insight into what I needed specifically to take my dog to the next level. Back home in NE, I was observed working with my dog and consequently invited to do a demonstration at a local event. A first! Very exciting! My dog smashed it! Thank you for helping me and my dog!
