Zen Dog Training

Gordon and all of Zen Dog Training have been amazing in helping our new puppy become a “zen dog”! We participated in the Ivy League Puppy Class as well as an in home visit and would highly recommend both! Zen Dog’s puppy classes equip both owners and puppies with the correct tools, tips, and tricks for success. Gordon takes the time to create meaningful relationships with both you and your pup to go over individual needs during class which we really appreciated. The online resources like articles and podcast episodes are an amazing resource we often use. I could not recommend Zen Dog Training more!

Our first training session/consultation with Elissa was excellent! Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious. She made me feel at ease as a first time dog owner and took the time to explain things to me and help me to understand the dog's mentality and perspective as well as we train. It is clear she "knows her stuff" and cares a lot about the animals she trains. I look forward to working with her again once our puppy arrives home next week!

We can't say enough good things about Zen Dog! Gordon worked with us very soon after we brought home our 4 month old (adorable, if nippy and jumpy) rescue puppy, the first for our family. It was fantastic to have "Uncle Gordon" work with all 4 of us (2 adults and our 15 and 12 year old kids) in our environment and in a way so we'd all get the same messages and practice the same techniques with our puppy. G explains the "why" behind the training methods to build understanding with us humans and consistency for our puppy. And it works! We're still working on some things, so in visit 2, Gordon helped us focus on they places we were being inconsistent -- so helpful. I have had the pleasure of working with Neil over the course of the last few years. We first started in the early days of the pandemic, in 2020, where we were virtual to start, and I was looking for specific help with my adult reactive dog. Then we moved to outside. A few years went by and I needed Neil's services again. He was more than willing to help and came to us at a local park. Years later, yet again, I was able to reach out to him and ask him for his perspective on a situation that I could not meet with him in person as I was out of state. He responded to me with detailed information, quickly, and answered all of my questions, making me feel at ease. Neil is a fantastic trainer and if you're looking for someone to help you with any dog training needs, I cannot recommend him highly enough!
