Can Youngs dog training class help with aggressive dogs
Unfortunately no, Group obedience classes are not the best learning environment for dogs with behavioral issues. Group classes work best for dogs that are in a calm emotional state and are receptive to learning. Dogs with behavioral issues are heavily focused and can not process new information and put you and your dog at risk of hurting yourself or others. Individual lessons with a trainer utilizing non aversive methods would be your best option. Then over time with clear and consistent training the possibility of getting into an obedience class is likely.

First, highly recommend Youngs Dog Training. We recently adopted 2 puppies and I needed guidance, and that is what Jonathan provided. I enrolled in group obedience puppy class 1, which was perfect for us. This class provided me with exactly what I needed to positively train my puppies. Seeing the progress work thru the weeks was so rewarding. As busy and Jonathan is, he always responded to my texts message and the multiple questions I had. (We have 7 dogs) so not only was I inquiring with Jonathan about my puppies, he was also available to provide guidance on helping my multi-dog house adjust to new crazy puppies and the steps I should be taking to ensure my older dogs were not compromised by the new additions. As long as Jonathan is training dogs, he will be my go to trainer.
Really enjoyed his classes, very skilled and helpful with the training process!! Will be back for more classes in the future.

We did a 30 day board and train for our 4 month old Australian Labradoodle. She went straight from the breeder (in St. Louis) to Jonathan and it was a seamless and convenient experience. Jonathan sent regular updates and pictures throughout the process. When we picked her up, he spent 2 hours going over the cues she had learned and how to follow through at home. We also got a very helpful folder with step by step instructions for how to teach several cues. Jonathan is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about dog training, and clearly cares for the dogs. He even provided support via text when we took her home and had some questions pop up. This was such a valuable experience for us as new dog owners!

We had great experiences with Jonathan training our Golden Doodle, Crosby! We first put him in the 15 day puppy training and then we were able to board with him for a week while we were out of town. He did an amazing job laying down a foundation for our furry four month old. In the short amount of time Crosby was gone he learned sit, down, off, come, leave it, and was a quick learner with potty training! Not only would we use Young’s Training again, but we would absolutely recommend it to any dog owner in need of some training help!
