I was nervous about leaving our 9 month old Aussie for a week but we took a friends recommendation on Jenna; And we are SO fortunate that we did! We met up prior to our trip to get to know each other. She not only wanted to get familiar with Odin but wanted to see what the humans were expecting as well. She answered all our questions and put us at ease. That first interaction alone made a huge difference and we knew we were leaving our pup amazing, caring hands. During our time away Jenna exceeded our expectations. She communicated with us daily; sending us pictures and making sure we knew what they were up to. She not only provided a daily walk for our pup but went above and beyond by having him play/socialize with her own dogs. She continued to answer any questions that popped up. We returned home to a happy puppy who had been loved while we were away. Even though we have not gone through training with Jenna (yet) I know that her expertise still played a huge roll in my pups care while we were away. I look forward to working with her in the very near future to continue to improve my dogs life and keeping all of us happy!

Jenna has been the biggest blessing to our family. She worked with us and our litter mates without judgement focusing on what we needed for our family. She made sure that we felt comfortable and confident with our dogs while also making herself available for any questions. I have two Australian Shepard/Kelpies that need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Jenna plays a huge role while we travel as I do not trust many people with my dogs. We were recently away for 7 days and she made sure to send me MANY updates. My dogs were incredibly at ease with her and her husband. As you can see in the photos they were the happiest dogs! I have no words to express how grateful I was for her quality of care and work with my dogs. It gave me peace of mind knowing that I had nothing to worry about. She has a lot of heart for her job and it shows in the way she handles our dogs and communicates with us. I will keep training with Jenna for new skills, refreshers, and any future dogs.

I had the pleasure of working with Jenna to help us train our reactive chocolate Labrador through a custom, 5-week board and train. He went into training nervous and anxious with people, dogs, and anything that moved by our fence! Jenna's understanding of canine behavior and tailored training techniques were impressive. She displayed unmatched patience, clear communication, and a true love for Porter. Jenna's expertise in managing Porter's aggression and breaking down training concepts made the process enjoyable and effective. Thanks to her guidance, Porter has shown significant improvement, and we have been able to utilize Jenna for stay & plays since the training, providing reassurance that he stays with people we trust while we are on vacation… not to mention some extra “refreshers” on training! I highly recommend Jenna's services to anyone in need of compassionate and effective dog training, especially for dogs dealing with aggression like Porter.

TL;DR: Jenna is a phenomenal dog trainer; there is no one I trust more with my dogs. We have followed her throughout her dog training career and are thrilled to continue working with her at Yes!Paws Academy! We started working with Jenna years ago doing virtual lessons (since we live in CA) and we are SO glad we found her! We were a little nervous whether virtual lessons would be as effective as in-person; not only have they been just as effective, but they have been better for our dog (who has reactivity in new situations, so being home is great for him), convenient for us, and Jenna gets to observe our dog's behavior in his home environment. We use virtual lessons to address dog reactivity (to humans and dogs), separation anxiety, unwanted behaviors at home (jumping, nipping, barking at other people, dogs, and cats), and we also use virtual lessons for fun trick training! Under Jenna's guidance, we have earned our AKC Novice Trick Title and are currently working towards an intermediate title. It is an added bonus that Jenna is an AKC Canine Good Citizen and Tricks evaluator, which makes her instructions spot on for what we need! We had such a positive experience working with Jenna virtually that we decided to enroll our rescue pup in a 7-week Board and Train with her, driving our dog to/from CA to Idaho (10+ hours each way, for drop off and pick up!)! It was a big investment and 100% worth it. Before the board and train, our dog was really struggling with anxiety and reactivity; over the course of 7 weeks, Jenna taught him confidence, manners, and even brought out his playful, spunky side! She absolutely transformed our dog and forever changed his quality of life. During the board and train, she kept us well informed about his progress and treated him like one of her own (even taking him to her vet when she was concerned about potential allergies!). After the Board and Train, Jenna was extremely thorough in making sure we understood how to translate these gains into our home environment; she provided support every step of the way. Over the last few years, Jenna has worked with all three of our rescue dogs, who all together bring a good set of challlenges her way: dog, human, and fence reactivity; separation anxiety; over-excitement and over-stimulation; unwanted behavior and poor manners; and more. She is able to tailor her approach and methods to fit the specific personality, motivation (or lack thereof!), and needs of each dog. I also refer all of my family and friends to her when they get a new dog! Everyone comments about how thorough, skilled, and friendly she is, and EVERYONE I know who has worked with her gets frequent comments from strangers about how well-behaved our dogs are (and it's true, they are!). Make no mistake, it's on us owners to put in the work to make that happen, but with Jenna's guidance she makes it approachable and effective. Despite the long drive from CA to ID, we have brought all three of our dogs to her home for a vacay away and have signed our youngest rescue pup up for a Board and Train next year as well. Working with Jenna is absolutely worth it; our dogs' lives are forever better because of her, and we are so incredibly grateful.
