About Woof in the Woods
Training by appointment. Retail sales by appointment or through special orders. Training clients are welcome to shop at their appointments or classes. Woof in the Woods' goal is to teach dogs, coach owners and achieve goals by providing high quality reward-based training programs to clients in the Western North Carolina. We promote products and services we utilize with our own personal dogs and recommend for clients. We love to see owners have trust in their dog to take them on hikes, to local breweries and restaurants, travel with them and build a respectful relationship with their dog. This happens with basic foundational obedience skills and lots of practice and consistency.

I need to get a service dog certified. What do I need to do?
There is no official certification for a service dog. A service dog can be self trained or trained with the help of a professional dog trainer. Feel free to call us to discuss your training needs further and any questions about a "required" certification.

My husband and I brought our 6 month old German Shepherd to Chris and Steve a little over a week ago for a private lesson, and the difference in our boy has been amazing! These guys really know their dogs and behaviors and we would recommend them to anyone! We can now walk our boy with no issues of barking or pulling us around like a rag doll. He also now listens to us much better! Thank you so much Steve & Chris!

My dogs start crying as soon as we pull in, and can't get out of the car fast enough to go play! I definitely recommend them!!! The training is fantastic!!!! On a different note, it's so saddening to see people make fake profiles to put down such a fantastic company. Clearly they have a hidden agenda when they can't own up to their own comment. I owned and operated my own Dog Daycare, Boarding, Grooming and trading facility in Chicago and am extremely cautious and picky where I will take my pups. I grilled them and their training techniques among many other things. The tools they use are only when/if needed. I stand behind them 100%. All the staff there have blended over backwards to accommodate my dogs and their needs. Definitely give them a try!!!! :)
