About Woof in the Woods
Training by appointment. Retail sales by appointment or through special orders. Training clients are welcome to shop at their appointments or classes. Woof in the Woods' goal is to teach dogs, coach owners and achieve goals by providing high quality reward-based training programs to clients in the Western North Carolina. We promote products and services we utilize with our own personal dogs and recommend for clients. We love to see owners have trust in their dog to take them on hikes, to local breweries and restaurants, travel with them and build a respectful relationship with their dog. This happens with basic foundational obedience skills and lots of practice and consistency.

There is no official certification for a service dog. A service dog can be self trained or trained with the help of a professional dog trainer. Feel free to call us to discuss your training needs further and any questions about a "required" certification.

I sure wouldn't go to this trainer! Shock collars? Squirting something sour in your dog's mouth if they growl? Pure meanness. Would you want to be treated that way! Dogs growl for a reason just as folks say "Back off!" You take away the dog's warning signal (the growl), the dog will go straight to BITE! This guy is an old school army guy! Two thumbs down in my book!

Everyone is nice and polite!!! The trainers are awesome and VERY knowledgeable!!! Well worth your money spent!!! They not only teach classes but help with getting the right collar and size and they also help with nutritional needs. My lil guy Diesel had no obedience whatsoever when I took him,now he's getting his basic commands down. He will be going to group classes in the fall. They train YOU to train your dog. So,if you're looking for the best training in town..visit the folks at Woof in the Woods..
