Sasha, we are saddened to hear that you are not completely satisfied with your services, but also not entirely surprised. When you came to us, you were looking for help with obedience, overstimulation and reactivity to other dogs. In addition building a training relationship since Cue was newly adopted. He barked uncontrollably, was bored and you frustrated. You sharing all you do is yell at him to stop. This breed, chihuahua’s already bark as it is but to have a canine without knowing it’s history makes the training from a reactivity and fear perspective tough as it is. To even begin to address this, basic obedience needs to have a solid foundation as well as consistency. Since you the human had no prior canine training experience and had no obedience established with Cue, 6 sessions at twice per month was not going to be enough. That was 100% disclosed to you up front as well as providing you a rescue rover discount to assist with your budget. Again To help you with your budget, we all agreed to 6 sessions with the possibility of more. We ONLY agreed to this because being a rescue based training facility we lead with our heart. We didn’t want Cue taken to the shelter with you being so tired of this meaning your canine. So we collectively stated we will do all we can to change that. The behavior issues you were experiencing take months of consistent and constant training and exposure to overcome. Most importantly the human having the confidence to lead their canine respectfully. You stated that we spent an entire session having your dog look at you and touch your hand. That is absolutely true as eye contact is a huge part of the basic foundation for obedience. Yes, You are absolutely right, we do not force training! We could teach 3 things in a session and get those consistent, or like you wanted, train 10 things and not get anywhere. You were barely able to connect with Cue. Your frustration and attitude towards the training filtered into him which is why he didn’t listen to you. But Cue did everything we asked of him. That is because we were patient, respectful and made training fun for him. This is a human problem we constantly see of wanting something quickly, at the expense of their canine. Training does NOT go at YOUR pace, it is at the pace of the canine which is 100% not a money ploy. Your agreement even states if we achieve the goals before the contractual obligation is met you will be released form any additional financial responsibility. To oblige you and to help move things along since you were never available on a consistent basis, we assigned homework in between sessions and requested videos to assist, and give feedback but never received those things. To falsely state you didn’t receive sessions is just plain wrong. We tried to make several attempts to schedule you which is your responsibility as a client also knowing up front that your sessions will expire. You always had everything else to do but train. Then when you found out they were expiring it was our fault. Also to state falsely about an appointment that was confirmed that again is WRONG. You have a client portal that confirms appointments only when the client accepts. So to show up also knowing we keep a locked door for the safety of our clients is standard practice and you knew that. So if you’re not scheduled you don’t get in. You spoke with the training manger and didn’t like what your heard. Your canine coach did her best to accommodate you with her to full schedule as well as trying to speak to you by phone on multiple occasions with you cursing and being completely aggressive and rude because you messed up. We are ok to say we fell short and if so our job is to fix that. We take pride in the relationships we build with our families that has lasted for years.

We had so much fun training Titan! We applaud this family for starting him off on the right paw at 8 weeks of age. Titan built his relationship with his mom in a private setting to graduate into our full day Academy to continue his training journey. We can’t wait to see you guys again soon. Bark On!

Thank you for sharing Lynne. We are so very thankful for your trust and confidence in our team. Although your pups were older you believed in and trusted the process. We told you it’s never to late to teach an older pup new tricks lol. We have been very successful in obedience, leash manners, social skills and more.
