Can’t recommend these services enough! Their trainer, Jesse, in Memphis, really guided us every step of the way in training our Australian Shepard into becoming a well mannered member of the family. She took any concerns I had with using an e-collar and slowly acclimated our pup to the training device. He has no hesitations when I put on his collar and shows no signs of discomfort when it’s applied, just a little head turn and he starts looking for me so he can start getting to where he needs to go, towards me and not the street with cars, yikes! Now, our dog can run freely and play with the family in our large unfenced outdoor spaces safely, because we know he will come when called. It’s been a real miracle getting to see how our 6month old puppy has matured over the past two months in training. During the in house training sessions with Jesse, our dog, would be received by Ethan each morning. Ethan really eased any anxieties we may have had before these full day trainings and our dog would become clearly excited when we’d pull up to Wonder Dog’s studio. Our dog really seemed to enjoy his trainings. Our training program began with two in home training sessions with their trainer, Gordon, who also freed up any concerns we may have had using a prong collar. Our dog really responded beautifully with Gordon and i immediately felt at ease and hopeful with training our dog. He showed us how using high quality beef lung treats for good behavior and quick tugs on a prong collar leash, we can shift unruly behaviors like constantly trying to pounce on our cat, and constantly leash pulling on his three daily walks, become a thing of the past. Our dog enjoys getting his prong collar on and loves “working” aka walking with the heel command and getting to leisurely explore highly trafficked places like children’s park birthday parties, and big events like town square holiday parties. I thought it would take more than a year to get to the place we are at or maybe never with some behaviors. After our dog’s full day of training with Jesse, our dog started responding to verbal commands at home. Where prior, our dog’s impulse control was so minimal, that a audible command was completely ignored. Our lives have all changed for the better since we’ve received this fantastic training with Wonder Dog. We can all see how much calmer and more continent our Australian Shepard is now that he knows what he should be doing and is recieving the gentle correction style training tools they apply at Wonder Dog. Now our dog can go anywhere with us and I know he’s safe, my kids are safe, my stress level is a fraction of what it was, and we’re all happy and having more fun with our puppy! Wonder Dog Training & Games is a phenomenal place to help train your dog and yourself become better together!! The staff is extremely friendly and the trainers really know their stuff!! We had recently adopted a beautiful sweet baby girl from the Humane Society. She was sweet, but definitely needed some manners!! We knew she was going to be fairly big, especially in weight and that was a concern for us with her being around our grandchildren. Nobody wants to see an 90 pound dog jumping on people, especially little people and being unruly!! We definitely went to the right place!! We learned so much and not just commands but how and why it all works together. They don't just teach your dog how to behave, but teach us humans and give us the tools to continue to carry on after training is complete. In a sense, it's truly not complete, as they are there for you and your dog even after, if behaviors or other problems arise. We loved our trainer, Jesse and our dog couldn't wait to go there and learn!! I can't recommend this place enough!! You absolutely cannot go wrong!! They truly set you up for success!!
