Do you work with aggressive or fearful dogs?
We specialize in behavior modification, this includes aggression, fear, and anxiety. Since there are a lot of factors that play into a dog's behavior, we ask that you contact us to set up an evaluation so we can meet and discuss in detail about what's going on.

What are the differences between your training programs such as private lessons, group classes, board and trains, etc.?
The biggest difference between our different training programs is that amount of time we get spend with you and your dog. Board and trains gives us the most time to get to know your dog and you, so we can create a learning environment that not only helps your dog make lasting associations but also is easier for you to integrate your pup into your lifestyle. Private lessons and Group Classes limits our time together, allowing us to focus on teaching you, but not giving us enough time to be hands on with your dog. Each style of training has their positives and negatives, we suggest setting up an evaluation so we can discuss what would be the better fit for you and your pup.

Do you offer puppy training? If so, what style of training do you offer?
We do offer puppy training services for all puppies that are current on their vaccinations that is appropriate for their age. Our puppy services include our 3 private lessons package, Basic puppy board and train, AKC STAR Puppy class, and our Premium board and train. Why should we choose you over another training company?
We approach training from your dog's point of view and share that insight with their owners. Emphasizing on how your dog feels and how to create motivation to work with you, creating training that lasts without the reliance of food and training tools and a much happier dog and human. Education, trust, and guidance is what we base our principals on as it has served us well for over 5+ years. We are in good standing with International Association of Canine Professionals, American Kennel Club, and Better Business Bureau. As well we have completed a number of educational schools and courses. Since we believe heavily in owner education, all training programs comes with a written training booklet by us, membership to our monthly group walks, and access to our online video library. Supporting you and your dog on your training journey is what we pride ourselves on no matter where you are starting.

They received plenty of 1 on 1 time, exercise, outings in town and lots of love and affection. I love the fact that she posts pictures and videos everyday so you can see what your pup is up to and you get to visit and receive human training to help your pup succeed. Definitely call Wild Child for all your dog training needs!

We decided to try dog training for the first time to help our 3 year old Aussie with anxious and avoidance behaviors. In just 3 sessions with Sydney, our dog has learned so much!! During our training sessions, we have learned strategies to help him have better manners which will allow us to take him on walks and not be as stressed with visitors coming to our house. Sydney is very thorough, knowledgeable and her strategies are humane and effective. We highly recommend Wild Child Training and plan to continue with further obedience training in the future.

I joined with WCDT for puppy training with my little guy Odin. I wanted a trainer specifically that didn't soley rely on shock collar training due to the small size of my dog (as well as I knew I would not be comfortable following through with that type of training at home). From my first conversation, this decision was never met with an issue in our communications which was my reason for moving forward with training my pup with this fabulous duo. There was great communication, and lots of post regarding my Odin's progress between in person visits. My wants in training were clearly defined, discussed and implemented over his in-stay with the facility. I had some reservations with my tiny 3lb spoiled puppy with his paw lotion, eye wipes and holiday themed attire amongst giant working dogs at first; but it was shortly deemed irrelevant as he decided he was just a big dog in disguise disputing my attempts otherwise lol! I am very grateful for the leadership, knowledge and help WCDT has given myself and my pup. Taking on a new puppy was not part of my 2025, and I am very appreciative of the advice and knowledge extended with the program offered. (As well as the minor therapist sessions in listening to me talk about my dog that had recently passed; I appreciate that more than I can express.) I would 100% recommend!
We did the board and train with our puppy last year, and this year, he’s still the greatest dog. He remembers most of his training - doesn’t run out the door, doesn’t jump on people, waits until we say “okay” to take his food, comes when we call him, etc. Training with Wild Child was some of the best money we ever spent! Highly recommend!
