Words cannot be expressed enough to explain how I feel about the service I myself got and the quality of training and care that my Choc Lab Lily received while she was in John’s care for over 5 months. He was always available when I had a question on how training was coming along and more than accommodating when I wanted to come see her and train with her. I searched for months for a Gun Dog Trainer in all price points. I took a highly recommended leap of faith and placed Lily in West Winds care. And as I’m writing this with my dog laying on my feet asleep, I can without a doubt say that I made the right choice. John took a 5 month old wild and crazy puppy and turned her into an obedient driven machine. Lily will be going back for more training in the spring of 2019 and I will definitely be utilizing West Winds “tune up/maintenance” training each year to get her ready for a season full of birds. Scooter is very good with the dogs he owns, trains, and boards. His spaces are well kept and he constantly expands and improves his facilities over time. He and Ryan were very accommodating as I was visiting the area and picked up my dog and kept her for 3-4 hours each day then returned her to them. She is animal aggressive and people friendly and they didn’t have any problem dealing with those characteristics. Their training dogs were all happy and friendly and very well behaved. I highly recommend this business for boarding and training.
