Well Balanced Dog Training

I cannot thank Meaghan and her team enough for what they did for Daisy. Daisy used to get overly excited and reactive when greeting people or seeing other dogs, often jumping and barking uncontrollably. Her time in the board and train program completely turned things around. The team focused heavily on her impulse control, greeting manners, and neutral behavior. She came home so much more calm, confident, and well-balanced. The transfer session was incredibly thorough, giving us the tools to lead her successfully. They are truly miracle workers!

We have a handsome anxiety ridden French Bulldog who needed some confidence building and fine tuning on manners. We met with Meaghen for a meet and greet and chose to do private lessons per her recommendation. We initially picked Well Balance as a result of a best buddy who completed a long term “boot camp” - HUGE SUCCESS! We are finishing up our sixth meeting next week. Our experiences have lead to learning about patience in a way I wouldn’t have thought of with a dog ( I’m a fourth grade teacher who knows a thing about patience 😜 - I’m so happy she brought this perspective to us) and a better understanding of our Rufus boy and ourselves as a family. He’s learned a lot! We will continue to practice with Well Balanced! Thanks for being apart of this community and equipping not only Rufus with the tools to be successful, but us!!!!

I initially had a frustrating experience with one of the workers, but the owner personally reached out to me soon after — and completely turned the situation around. She was incredibly helpful, gracious, and professional in every interaction. She provided all the information and details I needed to move forward and made sure everything was handled with care. Her dedication to great customer service truly impressed me. I can’t say enough about how positive my experience ended up being thanks to her!

This is actually my second review for Well Balanced Dog Training because I’ve had such great experiences with them. About 4 years ago, my first dog — a very reactive Boxer — went through their Board & Train program. The transformation was incredible. He came back well-mannered, and his reactivity was under control. Most recently, I sent my 6-month-old Doodle to the Board & Train program. She was a wild puppy with zero manners — stubborn, chewing everything in sight (including me!), and having frequent accidents in the house. When she came home, it was like night and day. She’s now calm, responsive, well-mannered, and truly a joy to live with. The key is continuing the work at home. If you don’t follow through, your pup will slip back into old habits. But if you stick with it, the training quickly becomes part of everyday life. I can’t recommend Well Balanced Dog Training enough — whether for a challenging adult dog or an out-of-control puppy, their programs truly deliver lasting results.

No words can describe what they did for my dog! Meaghan and her team are the best hands down. You will not find a better team then them! My dog is an Aussie Doodle and has anxiety issues, always on edge, barking at everything, lunges at cars and people, and even bit a driver (or two). I thought all hope was lost and I would never be able to have him around people. After 5 weeks of boarding training I got a beautiful, loving and confident dog back! Not only has his confidence improved, he is in state of calmness I never thought possible. You will not regret the decision to invest in your dog and give them the structure they need. YOU NEED PUT IN THE WORK! When your dog comes home you need to put in the time and home training to maintain the behavior. Even if it is not perfect when you work with them at home, the benefits outweights the feeling of embarassment or that you failed. The difference is incredible but you need to be consistant in working with your dog and using the tools. It is not forever, that is the the key to remember. Temporary hard work for a lifetime of amazing times with your dog! Meaghan and her team do not judge you they want the best for you and your dog ❤️.
