My partner and I could not be happier with our time working with Gordon in training our newly adopted dog! Gordon was great at communicating the overall goals and methodologies of his obedience training program and how they would directly address our key concerns of separation anxiety, nervous barking, and reactivity. The in home training was both extremely convenient and ensured that all our training was incredibly relevant to her new environment and our real life concerns as new pet owners. Additionally Gordon’s willingness and outright encouragement to interact with him outside of our lessons over text gave us actionable feedback on how to improve our training and make the course’s impact even stronger. He was fair and firm and the results speak for themselves! In the four weeks of working with Gordon, our girl has showed night and day differences in her confidence, willingness to train, and overall temperament. We will be continuing our dog’s training in group classes in the meantime but would love to work with Gordon again for more advanced training!

In the world of dog training in Los Angeles it is hard to tell how to chose the right person for you and your dog. There are so many people and companies alike promising that they can address your dogs behavioral and obedience issues and return to you a “new dog”. The problem is, we didnt want a new dog. We wanted our cute, sweet, wonderful Kailuna, just a more obiedient, thoughtful version of him. Moreover, as his parents we wanted to be the one to show Kailuna the way, not some stranger who would develop a relationship with him only for us to still be the same undisciplined and unknowing parents who would just look at our dog and wonder why, after thousands of dollars in training, he still tugs on the lead, refuses to sit or doesn’t come when called. After scrolling through endless reviews we came upon Websters Dog Training. First thing about Websters, there is no commitment and this is something that we found very helpful. We had tried another company that had an upfront cost of nearly $2500 and gave a lifetime membership of assistance, but found their availability to be challenging and their methods not practical. Gordon came by for our first session and spent a VERY generous amount of time with us, outlining his methods, his plan and what would be expected of us. And this is the thing with Gordon, he expects quite a bit from you as the handler, not just from your pup. He will let you know when you are not giving enough and not putting in the effort where it’s needed. So it’s safe to say, Gordon keeps us in line with Kailuna’s training as much as he keeps Kailuna in line. If you’re like us with busy schedules and a never ending list of excuses as to why you cannot devote the time each day to your training, YOU NEED GORDON! Second thing, his methods work. Within three sessions we had a significantly more attentive and obedient dog. This does all come with a good amount of work, so if you are looking for someone to walk in and sprinkle magic dust on your dog and not put any work in, Websters Dog Training is not for you. This requires commitment, but in a very supported atmosphere, which brings me to my third point. Gordon cares enormously, both about the pups and his clients. He has on multiple occasions given us his own unpaid time to talk and to work through our concerns, hopes and goals. This is a commitment of time and money and Gordon respects that and will give as much as you do to the process. Finally, we just enjoy his company. He is highly educated in canine behavior and training methodology and has a great commitment to continuing his education always taking courses and recommending his latest read. We could literally chat for hours about dogs and life in general. I would not hesitate to recommend Websters Dog Training to anyone who is dedicated and committed to improving their dogs behavior. I came to Gordon’s dog training program with my Australian Shepherd puppy, looking to build on her basic puppy skills—things like wait, stay, leave it, and proper leash walking. Unfortunately, this training was not what I expected or what my puppy needed. Gordon takes training very seriously, which may be a good fit for those looking to develop high-performance working dogs such as K9 or service animals. However, his approach felt overly harsh and rigid for a young puppy still learning the ropes. His style leaned toward an aggressive training method that didn’t suit my dog’s temperament or our goals. Despite already knowing sit and down when we started, my dog left with no additional skills—and no improvement in the areas we had hoped to work on. Even more disappointing, Gordon abruptly ended the training halfway through our 5-week program after skipping a session due to an incident involving another client’s dog. We haven’t heard from him since. If you’re a puppy owner looking for a patient, supportive environment to build basic skills, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

If you’re looking to get started on training, Gordon is your guy. As someone who needed advice on how to get started, what to expect and how to best be of service for my dog - Gordon coached me up to have us work as a team, held me accountable outside of sessions and led with love interacting with my dog. If you’re not ready to put in as much work as your dog will - I’d consider if dog training is something you’d actually like to do. It takes two (you + your dog) & Gordon will give you the tools to make a difference if you’re willing to put in the work. I highly recommend Gordon for any dog with any level of experience looking for basic obedience.

I highly recommend Websters Dog Training! Gordon runs an amazing program. Our dog Blue ( Smaller size blue Merle Standard poodle ) started with Gordon at seven months. Our first meeting was wonderful. Gordon reached out through text in the morning, letting me know his exact time he was arriving and how he wanted To meet Blue for his first interaction with her. He was standing a little bit down the way from my house and he instructed me casually just to start talking to him, calm, casual and we started with a calm walk to Observe Blue How she walked on leash. We then went inside the house and learned how to work with our dog. Gordon has great energy and explains everything in such detail. Myself being dyslexic… Let’s just say, Gordon has a lot of patience with me. I’ve learned that he’s training both of us at the same time😂🐩. Long story short Whatever Gordon teaches you with your dog On your training day, he follows up with The lesson that he taught you In a very detailed email. For you and your dog To practice with! I love that I can send him My practice training videos that I do with Blue. He’s great at texting back and telling you what you need to improve on When he watches your videos, you send him. My dog is making amazing progress. I went from an out of control Smart, crazy poodle. To now, having a very calm dog that loves to be by my side! 🐩❤️🐩 I highly Recommend Websters Dog Training! It’s definitely⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Training at its highest!
