Where do I begin?! Mariann is an amazing dog trainer! She worked wonders with my dog, who had some stubborn behavioral issues, and the progress we’ve made is incredible. She has a real gift for understanding dogs and tailors her training to fit each dog's unique personality. Maryann is patient, and professional, and truly cares about the animals she works with. I couldn’t be happier with the results—my dog is more well-behaved, and confident, and our bond has grown even stronger. Our Aussiedoodle pup, Flurry, was trained under Mariann for the 3-week board & train program. Flurry was just under a year old and as a new dog owner, I really wanted to set him up for success and make sure he had the foundational skills to live his best life! When we first adopted Flurry, we made sure to work on his basic obedience skills and crate training but there were still a lot of areas that he could use help on. That’s when I found Mariann and WAOK9! Mariann was so great to work with and from the first introduction call to the first meet up, I felt confident that Flurry would be able to learn a lot through Mariann’s training. With Flurry being a young puppy, I knew he was excitable and loved people but what I didn’t realize was just how much of his reactivity was actually anxiety (like excessive pulling and inability to relax/listen in distracting environments). After working with Mariann, Flurry has unlocked the skills to use his “off” switch, trust & listen to his humans, and just overall uncover the side of Flurry that simply wants to chill and enjoy our company. From pulling like crazy, not knowing how to relax and difficulty with skills like recall, Flurry now walks like a dream and understands what we ask of him. I’m so grateful for this line of communication that was opened between Flurry & us, all thanks to Mariann’s training! I was nervous about being away from Flurry for so long for the first time but Mariann provides lots of updates, whether through daily Instagram stories or by texting directly. It was so great being able to watch his daily progress alongside some of the other dogs Mariann was training and I knew he was well taken care of! If you’re on the hunt for a trainer, just know that your pup will be in good hands. Thank you, Mariann! ☺️

Working with Mariann was an absolute joy! We were at a loss with our dog - a 7 year old YorkiePoo - because of his anxiety issues. Mariann listened to our concerns and through her 6 week training program, helped our dog learn ways to cope with his anxieties. He returned home to our family a whole new dog, who could be calm and relaxed around our family and around other people. What we found most helpful and a unique element to her training program was Mariann’s ability to understand our dog’s deep rooted behavioral issues and explain to us why he was acting the way he was and then also explain the reasons why her training could help address his issues. We are so happy with the way the training went - it was the best investment for our dog and our family! Mariann has continued to check in and answer our many questions after the training - we’ve felt so supported and set up for a successful transition now that our dog is back home with us. Can’t recommend Mariann enough - she’s awesome!!!
