Hi Todd, Thank you for the feedback on your experience. I’m glad to hear your Initial experience was positive. Allow me to address your issues with the situation: 1. In the review written you say, “He canceled on us twice and then didn’t honor the last training session.” This is absolutely correct as I was sick and didn’t feel that it was appropriate to expose you to my sickness along with training your dog at a subpar level because I wasn’t feeling well. I did reschedule and fulfill those two lessons as your schedule allowed. I make sure during every consultation to take the time to address that more than likely at some point I may have to cancel (with last minute being a possibility) and that I allow all clients the same respect of cancelling on me. My cancellation policy is in place to avoid clients from abusing my time by rescheduling on me continually. 2. I have a policy that if a client prepays for a lesson package, they expire after 6 months of the date you paid for the lesson package. This policy is in the contract I provide and I have all clients initial by said policy to make sure that they have read and understood the policy. The reason for this policy is to avoid a client from dropping off with one or more lessons left for an extensive period of time (6 months or more) and returning expecting to have an issue fixed (whether new or old) in one lesson. There are numerous difficulties for dog trainers in diagnosing problems and addressing them and it takes time to do so, usually requiring multiple sessions to accurately asses, form a training plan, and teach the owner how to do so correctly. In this case there was one lesson left that had been paid for on 5/19/17. I was contacted by you on 7/21/18 (approximately 14 months later). I will quote my contract verbatim, “prepaid lessons expire 6 months from the date of this contract.”
