Walking With Walter Dog Training

We love Lawren and our dog Merlin does too! We started with him when Merlin was 14 weeks old. Every training session over the last 18 months has had incredible lasting results. He is amazing communicating with the dog, but more impressive is his ability to communicate with the dog’s humans. He has trained us to communicate with Merlin, which makes the training really stick when you can extend it into your every day practice. We haven’t boarded often, but we trust Lawren 💯, and look forward to every opportunity for Merlin to stay for a few nights. He comes home happy, better behaved and EXHAUSTED after training and hanging with his buddies Doug and Skip! We will be doing more training until we know how to make Merlin as well behaved as Doug 😉

We used Walking with Walter to help train our strong - willed, hyper puppy. We immediately noticed positive changes after the first training session and continued to make progress every week. What I enjoyed the most was learning the psychology of why our dog was acting the way he was and how to address the underlying behavior. We have continued to make great progress and our dog is like a totally different animal than before we started training. We have two small kids and he is much calmer and gentler than before, walking is so much more enjoyable and he actually listens to us! Lawren worked an absolute miracle on our 11-month old rescue dog. He had all the bad behaviors you could imagine-leash pulling, jumping, biting, not listening or obeying commands. We couldn’t trust him around our own family much less guests to our home. We tried lots of techniques on our own (we were already small dog owners and had no issues with our other dogs.) But his behaviors only became worse. Lawren evaluated our dog and in a very short amount of time he started to turn things around. We are very grateful we decided on dog training with Lawren because we wouldn’t have been able to keep our dog otherwise , and we feel it was unlikely he would be re adopted at his age with the behaviors he had. Our kids are so happy they can play with him now and we can walk and jog with him and he can go places with us as well as stay home and be good while we are away.

I had tried a few trainers prior to meeting Lawren. He was the one who finally understood what I needed with my 5 month old boxer Lola- I didn’t need her to sit, stay or roll over.. I needed her to feel comfortable and confident in her new life with me. Lola struggled everyday with new sights and sounds, so nervous and scared. Lawren gave her the specific training Lola needed, not generalized training for all dogs.. He gives his time, his knowledge and his compassion without fail. I have found my dog training angel in Lawren. We will be bonded with Lawren from here on out. I cannot put into words how Walking With Walter changed my relationship with Lola and improved our lives together! 🐾♥️ 100% recommended...
