Walking Dog Training

We are so thankful that we were able to work with Bethany to help us with our dog Jack. Our medium sized dog ended up being quite large and very strong, he was walking us and ruling the house. After two weeks with Bethany we are able to go on stress free walks with our kids and Jack. We have commands that he listens to and its been SO helpful with keeping him from eating the kids toys and running off with shoes. It really helped create a calmer home for us and we are able to enjoy our time with Jack. Bethany was patient and kept us updated with everything going on while Jack was away. We love that she keeps up with us and makes sure we know we can always contact her with any new issues that may come up. I would recommend Bethany to anyone who needs help gaining control and creating an enjoyable life with your dog.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Bethany at Walking Dog Training is! I was really nervous to let her go for 2 weeks, but it was by far the best decision I made with her. Bethany worked wonders with my crazy puppy! We discussed my big training goals (off leash at a public park full of people, birds, dogs, and squirrels) and the problem areas I was experiencing (pulling on leash, car anxiety, excited to meet and greet every human, dog, or animal she sees, and calm in public). Bethany made it a point to take her in her van to places that are full of distractions to work towards our specific goals, and kept me in the loop with her progress the whole time! Since being home, we have done a lot of off-leash walking around distractions, and she has been amazing in public. Bethany has also been really communicative, checking in on us and always reminding me that I have her as a resource if I have any questions or run into any issues. Also, THE PICTURES!! I can’t get over how perfectly Bethany captured her personality and now I have then framed everywhere! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

I have a 2 yr old Shichon (8.5lbs) named Pickles who decided that he was the only dog who was allowed to go on walks around our apartment complex. He was reactive and insecure. He barked, growled, lunged, and whined at every dog that we saw, no matter the distance. It got to the point where it was extremely embarrassing and I did not want to even take him on long walks anymore. We were so incredibly lucky to find Bethany at Walking Dog Training. Pickles is a new dog after staying for the 2 weeks in the board and train program. Yes, I will 100% admit - I am a nervous dog mom! I was nervous about leaving him for two weeks, the e-collar, how he would react to the other dog, and if I would get a call in the middle to have me get him bc he was too awful. She set my mind right at ease, AND...I am telling you her work with him has transformed our walks, routine, and life! Pickles is still working on things at home, but Bethany has given us the tools to make the magic happen. She really does figure out what your dog needs and uses that information when working on things with your dog. Her communication is amazing and I truly felt like I was right there with them watching the training take place. I tell people all of the time that when it comes to dog training, Bethany is like a unicorn- rare and has magical powers! Pickles and I can’t thank you enough Bethany!

Working with Bethany was incredible. I am the dog walker of a dog who worked with her. Bethany completely transformed my job with Pickles. Pickles was a very reactive dog, during our walks it would be a struggle to see other dogs because he would bark and completely lose himself. Bethany taught him to stay calm and taught us how to own the walk and work with pickles. The first visit we had with her after he was dropped off was incredible. Pickles had learned commands and became so understanding. He was no longer reactive and could even walk by dogs without losing himself. Bethany was also very communicative and took the cutest pictures of pickles! She is incredibly professional. Pickles now walks responsibly!
