Walking Dog Training

Bethany is a magician. Period. Walking Dog Training has truly changed my life with my puppy. I thought I had thoroughly researched and prepared for my Doberman Pincher puppy, Nairobi. But by 5 months old, I realized that I was having a miserable time connecting with her. If I'm being honest, I didn't really like her at all. I literally moved out of my apartment because dealing with her there was impossible. Bethany transformed our lives. I started following her on IG before I even brought Nairobi home. In addition to the knowledge she presented, her energy told me that I definitely wanted to send my puppy to her when she was of age. I just had no idea how badly we would need her. I drove 10hrs round trip to get Nairobi to Walking Dog Training. And I would do it again in a heartbeat. Bethany's services are worth every cent. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and the results speak for themselves. Sometimes I wonder if I brought home a new dog. Her communication is amazing and as a bonus, she's a fabulous pet photographer. If you are on the fence about utilizing her services, this is your sign to hop off the fence.

Bruno used to pull on leash during walks, get nervous in different situations, was reactive to other pets and sometimes people. After speaking to Bethany regarding my goals for him, I agreed to enroll him in her Board and Train program. Fast forward to two weeks in the program, Bruno has learned to heel, sit, fetch, drop things from his mouth. I’ve been able to take him to the park and do off leash exercise with him. He is very much less reactive with other pets and people. He is calmer in the car, doesn’t whine or get as anxious. He’s not perfect and he’s a work in progress, but she definitely set him and I up for success. Throughout the process, Bethany maintains constant communication regarding his status, sends pictures and videos regarding his progress, and checks up on him after he’s come home. I love that I saw his progress in real time on her Instagram stories. I’ve recommended Walking Dog Training to family, friends and coworkers and would utilize her services and expertise on future additions to my family.

Before Bethany Tyson was absolutely all over the place, in the car, on walks, even inside the house. I was super nervous at first that keeping up with his training would be so hard, and I wouldn’t have time to myself, or do things anymore. It turned out to be such an easy transition getting him home, you just have to be consistent. It’s been extremely enjoyable to have him around just hanging out with me and learning to be calm, and even though it’s a slight change in my schedule I still have all the time in the world to still do things I enjoy while keeping up with his training! It’s been a little less than a month since he’s been home and we’re still following up with his training, but now when I need to correct it’s almost like a 6th sense. Bethany was always super responsive, and supportive. I loved watching their journey together on her Instagram, like I got to be there in person. I love that she offers as many follow up visits as you need until you’re confident that you know you’re getting it right. I couldn’t imagine what I would’ve done if he hadn’t been with walking dog training!! (She also takes the cutest pictures)

We did the board and train program for our goldendoodle puppy and had a great experience. Our puppy is a people pleaser but he gets very excited and can be nervous with noises and new situations which made him have trouble listening to commands. We were struggling to help him focus and be the best pup he can be! Bethany was great and super responsive to our communication throughout the process! She helped our pup with his focus and learning the commands (like heel and place) and kept us updated during the time she was with him. I’ve learned a lot from her educational guides and Instagram stories as well. Our pup seemed to have a great time during his stay with her, and I see a huge improvement already in his first week home. I would highly recommend her and if you need more insight into what the board and train program would be like, she has lots of videos on her social media that you can watch!

I am beyond grateful that my rescue dog Fitz and I had the opportunity to work with Bethany. I was unaware of the depths of his issues (reactivity, separation anxiety) until after adopting him, and have been frantically trying to learn how to address these things ever since. Bethany's program introduced him to the e-collar and completely changed how we interact. I loved being able to follow his training online, and Bethany communicated with me directly throughout the program. One month after pick-up we received the following feedback from friends/family who have been along for Fitz's journey: "Bethany must be so proud of him!" and "She did a wonderful, wonderful job." We still have our challenges, but Bethany has been a consistent source of guidance and encouragement even after program ended.
