Wag and Paw Training

I am very happy with the services provided by Wag and Paw training, they brought back hope to my pack! This review is about my two senior Yorkshire Terriers, Gizdo and Tubsi (12 and 11 years old) I needed to work on their separation anxiety issues and crate training. Both of them came from Guatemala and moving to a new country was very stressful for them, I’ve tried different trainers before and all of them gave up, I was advised to give anti anxiety meds to my dogs because they were not going to be successful in their training due to their anxiety issues. I felt sad to hear that and basically was hopeless until I met Lara from Wag and Paw training and she said she could work with them. I swear the results are amazing! I am so happy to see that my senior dogs are more confident in their day to day, barking was reduced, and I can finally sleep through the night without having to wake up to potty accidents in bed since they are both happy to sleep on their crates. I fully recommend Wag and Paw training to help with separation anxiety issues and crate training, they are the best! Also they were great at communicating, I received updates everyday, and in addition to the training they were mindful about their health issues and were on top of it by giving them their meds and special diet as instructed. I totally trust them with my loved pack and I would recommend these services to anyone who want to see real change and who are willing to do the job to keep up with the training habits.

Lara is the best! I watched my dog go from a "I do what I want" Pug to "let me take cues from you restrained" Pug. Lara is super professional - very courteous, patient and low-key. I really did not know what to expect since this was my first time seeking dog training, but she did not disappoint. Her prices are extremely affordable for all that she provides. What do you get? 1. Daily summary with pictures - my dog was happy and his little curl tail was wagging!!! 2. I got to watch her daily videos and start learning the commands she uses 3. When she brought Bennie home, she began training me! She explains everything in fine detail. Most importantly, 4. She provided a training workbook with homework!!! That's right.. She wrote up a summary of what she did, tips for the future, and homework sections for me to document my at-home training experience. 5. She also provides the leash she used during training and she demonstrates how to properly leash your pup. 6. She provides other little goodies as well... I know not many people have left yelp reviews yet, but this will change. Lara is professionally trained and extremely knowledgeable about dog psychology. So relax and trust her.. She's worth every penny!

We have two pups (5+ months). Before their training with Lara, we were struggling! One of our pups did a 3 day training for puppies. He did this as he was freshly fully vaccinated & was able to start going on walks. So glad we had the training for him because we are so much more prepared to take them on walks. Our other puppy did one of the board & train programs & before it she was quite anxious. We struggled to have her spend time in the crate! She wasn’t sleeping through the night either. It’s our first day back with her & woah! Last night she slept through the night & overall we have seen her confidence increase. We appreciate that we got daily updates with pics of how they were doing each day. We also feel so much more confident as puppy parents to support our pups navigate this world! The homework & home visits have helped us to feel like we can be consistent with their training too. I HIGHLY recommend working with Lara. One of the best investments we have made as puppy parents.

Lara is a miracle worker – she has a true passion for working with dogs and it shows. Our little anxious pup came back to us calm and confident! Her structured programs also include a game plan for pet parents to follow at home, which has been a game changer. I also appreciate her diligence in sending us daily detailed updates of our pup, which included progress updates and videos of how-to’s which were helpful for future reference. There’s no one else I’d trust to train our little pup but her. So glad I found Wag and Paw Training!
