Volancy Dogs

this past summer i needed last minute help with my unpredictable sheepadoodle. i called volancy dogs, and spoke to alyssa. she kindly agreed to come to my house several times while i would be away and help with our dog, phil. he can be skiddish with new people, but alyssa was able to win him over. she communicated with me during each visit and sent little pics and videos; this reassured me that phil was in good hands. i would highly recommend alyssa. she is trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable about dog behavior, and a real sweetheart. :)

I got to know of Alyssa after doing a lot of research and reading reviews. We have a dog with genuine anxiety and probably always will. Alyssa took the bull by the horns and transformed Scout into a dog who listens and pointed out to me behaviors to look out for that I never would have even seen.This happened in only one week. It’s been close to two years of sleepless nights and on night one after following Alyssa’s instructions, we have incredible progress. Alyssa, thank you for doing your thing and for helping provide Scout and our family the tools to live a better life.

I highly recommend Volancydogs. Alyssa is truly amazing. I wish I could give 10 stars!! I simply cannot say enough about our experience. I’m not going to lie; I was a bit apprehensive to leave Daisy with a “stranger” for three (3) weeks. But that all changed with my first conversation with Alyssa. We spoke and sent texts back and forth for a couple of weeks before meeting up. This was key!! She got to know Daisy before the big day. The drop off day was a mixed bag of emotions; again, not going to lie. I second guessed my decision to do this. Was I being selfish? Was I abandoning my dog? Am I a lazy doe owner? Will it make Daisy’s anxieties worse? Will Daisy be OK? Well, Daisy was more than OK! Less than 48 hours later I received a text and photo of Daisy and Aury, one of Alyssa’s dogs, sitting next to each other! Side by side! I couldn’t believe what I saw. I cried happy tears. My biggest hopes were to have Daisy tolerate other dogs. She's not a fan of them...lol. Alyssa made it happen. I knew then that I had made the right choice. Communication between Alyssa and myself made it easier. She sent photos, videos, texts, and we’d have lengthy phone conversations. I knew Daisy was in good hands. Alyssa put all my fears to rest because of the constant communication. Alyssa not once said “it’s a bad time.” There was always a response. With every text, photo, video Alyssa sent I was more impressed. Daisy knew the basic commands before but with Alyssa, everything was much sharper and concise. Watching Daisy’s transformation go from an anxiety ridden dog to confident dog was amazing. Alyssa showed me what Daisy was capable of. Walking off leash. Playing off leash. Letting Daisy explore off leash. Playing with her other dogs. This is exactly what I wanted for Daisy. Alyssa taught me to relax and not be so tense as dogs feed off our energy. Yes, I learned as well. When Alyssa brought Daisy back to me, she spent 4 hours with me! She made sure I was comfortable with Daisy and Daisy was comfortable with me. We even had both of my sisters with their dogs there. Alyssa showed me proper techniques to keep Daisy focused on me not the other dogs. Daisy has gotten much better with other dogs. It’s so much nicer walking with Daisy now. No pulling, no going after other dogs. Redirecting Daisy, consistency and patience are key! Crate training and the e-collar….I was skeptical. The crate has become Daisy’s “safe” place. If she starts to get anxious I have her “place” in her crate. It is her safe place. She even goes in on her own sometimes and comes out when she is ready. She sleeps there as well. I was apprehensive to use the e-collar but once again Alyssa put all my fears at rest. Alyssa took the time to show and explain how it works!! The e-collar, when used properly, is a wonderful training tool. The training and communication don't end after Alyssa leaves. She is available. We still keep in contact. I can't say enough good things about her. She not only helped Daisy be a better dog, but she also helped me be a better dog mom. Alyssa took Daisy, my good girl, and brought her back to me a happier, both mentally & physically, better girl. For that, I am eternally grateful!

We found Alyssa through a google search, did our due diligence, read the reviews and we have to say it is one of the best decisions we have ever made. We adopted Pepper from a rescue as a 1 year old, he lived on the streets in Puerto Rico for the first year of his life. After a while we noticed Pepper had severe separation anxiety to the point were we could not go out or crate him without him getting visibly upset and getting himself so worked up he would be shaking, throwing up and destroying anything that was in the crate with him. Trying to get him in the crate was an ordeal as well. He would know when we were going out so he would hide under the bed, behind the couch and under the dining room table. I work from home, so he became what they call a “Velcro Dog” at my side 24-7. So, we changed our lifestyle to fit Pepper. It was also a challenge to walk him at times as he always pulled when walking him and there wasn’t a squirrel or rabbit, he would almost pull my arm out of my socket to get. Fast forward to finding Alyssa. I cried when we dropped him off, but we knew he was in good hands, and we wanted to do what was best for Pepper. We met up with Alyssa at a park and talked for almost an hour (mind you we spoke on the phone a couple of times before we brought him to her) I could tell she would treat Pepper like he was her own dog. Alyssa was great at communicating with us and keeping us updated on peppers’ progress. I text her at least 10 times a day for the first couple of days. We were astonished at his progress and were so proud of him. It has been 3 weeks since Pepper came home, and our friends and family joked and asked is he the same dog! Pepper will now go into his crate on command, and we crate him everyday for a few hours each day, with the crate door open, and he sleeps in his crate at night, (instead of our bed) This was astonishing and an accomplishment on its own as he is relaxed and peaceful in the crate. Walking Pepper is such a pleasure and not stressful for me at all. He Heels on command and will walk by my side until he is given the command to run free. He is even trained off leash, which is enjoyable for all of us, as he is in his Heel command and walks right by our side even with all the distractions around him. He sits with a command and lays down and will stay in a “place” until we tell him he can move. He will also come and sit in front of us when called. He is such a more relaxed dog and is a dog now if you can understand that. If anyone has any doubts or reservations about sending their dog for training, I can assure you Alyssa is my recommendation hands down. Alyssa spent almost 4 hours when she brought him home to us to go over everything from going in the crate to walking on and off the leash and all the new commands that she taught him. You can tell Alyssa cared for our Pepper as if he was her own. She is our Dog Whisperer!

Alyssa is highly effective and diligent with training. She has trained both of my Australian Cattle Dogs. Understands and appreciates their breed. This was my family’s first time owning cattle dogs and we definitely needed the help with them. Our first, Orion is 1 1/2 yrs old , was trained with her since about 5 months old and I have been told he is one of the most well trained dogs at the farm where he still sees his parents and siblings. . He is well behaved in our home and very successful on the farm our daughter works at. Our second, Reno, we got as an owner surrender at 9 months old about 8 weeks ago . After he was neutered his training with Alyssa took precedence over everything else. He came back a much better version of his goofy self. We still work with Alyssa weekly to better each of our dogs and our understanding of them. Both dogs are so much better for having Alyssa in our lives.
