Our dog Charlie is a 2 year old Labrador who displayed almost constant food aggression. We wasted months watching youtube videos and reading random dog trainer blogs to realize our home training was both wrong and unfair to our dog. We had never considered a dog behaviorist before and decided to take a leap of faith in going for one-on-one sessions. Our experience with Scott was fantastic. He brought nothing but kindness, professionalism, and knowledge to the table. It is rare to find people who are as invested in your dog as you are but Scott made every session feel like it was his personal goal to see Charlie through her behavior and reactivity issues. We all tried various techniques until Charlie showed progress and Scott helped us understand the reasoning behind each one. In the end we gained a far greater understanding of our dog than we thought possible. Charlie is now three weeks out of training and is a far more well behaved dog because of it. My dog Sadie had severe separation anxiety when I rescued her. She struggled any time when I was out of sight, even when I was in the shower. She also was aggressive towards guests visiting in our home. We met with Scott over Zoom in May 2020 to work on her separation anxiety and territorial fear aggression. Scott gave us very intense homework and exercises to do, all geared towards positive reinforcement and not punishment. We followed his instructions exactly and within a few months, Sadie was able to overcome all of her separation anxiety and improved greatly in her aggression. Without Scott's help, Sadie was unlivable because I couldn't leave the house. Now she's the perfect dog, and I'm forever grateful!

Scott Sheaffer has been a wonderful resource in assisting us with methods to redirect the behavior of our one-year-old “Pup”. Having expert knowledge and direction from Scott has helped us iron out all the confusion from the many publications and people who offered their opinions and advice on how to deal with certain issues. After just a few sessions this “Pup” began to respond and has continued to show improvement. We, the Pup Parents, are now armed with the techniques to continue and improve his behavior. Scott’s knowledge and understanding of canine, and human, behavior is fascinating to experience. Scott is so knowledgable and personable. We really enjoyed our time with him and have learned so much in our time together. We researched for months trying to find the best behaviorist in the area for our puppy and his name came up multiple times by far. Our dog started showing aggressive and anxious behavior and we knew we had a long road ahead of us. Scott gave us preventative and restorative strategies to work on with our pup. The best part was that he was able to explain the behaviors we were seeing and why it was happening in a very easy way. We have already seen progress with the slight changes we have made to our daily schedule and expectations with our puppy.
