do you use e collors
Hi Jennifer, yes we use e-collars, leash training, treat training, and verbal praise to teach the dogs boundaries and commands. My program is also based on the dogs having fun during training, while remaining focussed. Thanks for your question.

I'm unfamiliar, BUT I can tell you that Chris and Universityk9 does great. I did a 2week board and train first my blue heeler puppy who after moving was showing signs of aggression towards and older sickly dog, and was terrible at walking on and off leash. After working with Chris, it was almost like night and day. I highly recommend Universityk9.

Chris and staff are above excellent. My dog was brought to them after he had bitten someone . My animal was out of control a friend referred me to k9.. I was not sure how to help bear.. he was quarantined then I took him to Chris. When I dropped bear off. I was not sure bear would ever be safe around my grand children or us .. when I picked bear up he was a different dog... He could walk with me without pulling he engaged with other animal without force. He was kind , focused and able to understand what was expected from us. bear was a new family member that had confidence , and so much love to give. I will always be greatful to Chris and staff for helping give me the animal I love. Chris not only saved bear he saved me too bear is now my registered service animal , but also my most trusted friend.

We moved to the area from across the country over a year ago and have been boarding our dog here when we travel since then. I called UniversityK9 and spoke with the owner, Chris, before moving our dog to Vancouver. I had explained that he had been through behavioral training and needed a special place to board him. Chris was happy to board him when we travel as his training methods are similar. Since then, we have had the most incredible experience. They understand how to manage our dog and treat him exceptionally well. The team at UniversityK9 is approachable, kind and responsive. 5 stars all the way!
