University K9 Dog Training

I’m so happy we brought our Cane Corso Cooper to be trained with Chris and his team at University K9! Our 130 lbs “lap dog” had problems with pulling while walking, jumping on people when excited and running out the front door as soon as someone opened it. Chris addressed each of these issues and they are no longer a problem for us! In addition to the great training he provided he also gave me the tools and information to continue training on my own. I highly recommend University K9 to anyone who is looking for training for their dog.

So it went from a 10ft fence to 8.5ft... right. So, she cleared a solid concrete wall? Interesting. Echo was 36 pounds with zero agility training. Please go into detail on how she would have cleared a solid wall of that height. She was not even a year old, and never cleared our 6ft fence. Not even fully developed. We have also heard that she was found hanging in her run from her collar. Bob picked her up, from the trunk of a worker's car with the collar still on. Still blaming me? That's rich. Again...public record. Again...you were at fault. Your contract was void, but laughable. Our dog was killed while in the care of this facility. She was not being watched, and ran into the street, was hit, killed, and stuffed in the trunk of an employee's car. I would suggest continuing your search for a trainer. I find it funny how he has other people give rave reviews. Imagine if it was your dog. Pathetic. Good grief it’s been over 7 years and people still reach out to me with questions about what happened. Too many stories, but the lawsuit that Chris lost is public record. We have heard all sorts of stories on how our dog was killed. After 7 years, just move on. The fact that he’s still upset about the loss is hilarious. Simple fix: Don’t kill dogs and harass someone who paid you for a service over an honest review. 💅🏻

I met Chris in 2008. He came highly recommended as a knowledgeable and effective trainer of all breeds but particularly larger dogs. I’ve learned since Chris trains all types and sizes of dogs and to say he does it well is an understatement. My 20 week GSD came back on command, literally wouldn’t come in the house until I invited my gsd to come in. The training was that technical and precise, exactly what I wanted with a high profile dog with so so reputation due to their size and perceived aggressive nature. Chris trained my gsd to the point I literally never had to leash him (Maverick) and he obeyed so well I was asked for 14 years how I managed to get my dog so trained up and disciplined. It’s Chris and only Chris. Unfortunately Maverick passed last year and one of my first calls was Chris. I wanted to let him know because I also boarded Maverick with him over those 14 years and Maverick had Chris in “his Pack”. Chris was as crushed to hear Maverick passed as I felt. Just a class act that does it right and cares about my dog beyond the training. Since we have purchased 2 Rottweiler’s. A much more difficult dog to train and once again we had Chris keep our dogs for weeks at a time and they too came back with the same results I had with Maverick. We will continue to train the Rotties here and there over the years with Chris, I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I have also referred numerous friends and family members to Chris, not one has done anything but rave about Chris, his training and unwavering care for our dogs when we trust him with their care. He is the best. Deserves that accolade and has been nothing but positive, helpful and caring to my family and our dogs. If you read all these reviews, there is a reason almost all are 5 stars. If you take your dog to Chris, I assure you there is very little chance you won’t be beyond impressed and you dog well behaved and happy. We take ours to him to this day for the day and overnight. Our Rotties start getting excited blocks from his place knowing they are heading to university K9 and Chris. Cheers and enjoy your well trained and attended too best friends. 👍.

Absolutely recommend for training, boarding and day care. We have used them for all their services over the years. They truly take amazing care of our four legged child when he is there and work with him and us. Ham is truly excited to go and just as excited to come home, does not seem stressed like he has shown at other facilities. The staff truly care and know what they are doing with animals. We appreciate the non-breedist mentality as our "child" is a bully mix that is misunderstood by many people and facilities. Thank you for being truly great at what you do.
