We highly recommend LeSandro and Sarah at United We Train! Our 6lb Shih Tzu/Poodle puppy was struggling with behavioral issues… running off in the neighborhood, freaking out in public with other dogs and people while on walks/hikes, and no one could groom her even with sedatives. We were totally overwhelmed. We had talked to several Knox County training companies but from the moment we first met LeSandro, we knew he was the one. He took the time to listen and understand our particular issues. He explained his process and approached the situation with patience, professionalism, and a deep understanding of dog behavior. He also offered so much more than the other trainers. We did a 3 week program with him and within the first week, we knew we had made the right decision. Not only had Suki showed an incredible difference, we were also trained as he went so that by the time we took her home we could continue to maintain and build on all the skills we all learned from him. He offers a home visit included in his program so that he could fine tune the training to our personal environment (even introducing her to the pool without fear). Thanks to LeSandro’s guidance, our dog has made unbelievable progress. We are finally able to enjoy walks, taking her to stores, restaurants and even the farmer’s market without fear and anxiety. We have a calm, happy pet at home. She doesn’t jump on visitors. She comes when called off leash and we just had her groomed and they said she was a pleasure. He worked with tools and touch to make her familiar and comfortable with the noises in the grooming environment. I was even able to trim her face a bit myself without a struggle. My family had found a 2 year old rescue we welcomed into our home. We quickly began to realize we might have bitten off more than we could handle. She was scared of everything, lots of anxiety, some aggression. We began to fear we might not be able to give her the best life and that we might have to return her. We decided to try training because although she was troubled we had already gotten very attached. Thank goodness my wife found LeSandro. He gladly evaluated her and talked with us about the possibilities for her. After one week of him working with her we were amazed. She seemed so much more relaxed and happier. But most importantly he worked with my wife and I and taught us how to work with her. He’s not only a wonderful dog trainer, he’s great with people as well.
