Turn Around Dogs Behavior &Training

Not a good experience at all.. Sent my 1 year old boxer for a 4-week board & train. Everything was good & felt right in the beginning. We had discussed what I was hoping for over the phone and again when I dropped him off. After he was dropped off the communication kind of just didn’t exist. I had asked for her to work on his leash pulling and jumping onto people. He’s 80 pounds and very strong. I got a couple videos of him 4 weeks into it and he didn’t look like he was improving. They reached out to me asking to keep him for an additional week which I did agree to. When I went to pick him up I was there for maybe 15 minutes for them to show me what he’s learned. I seen no improvement in his behavior. He instantly jumped on me & I was told that it’s okay he does that because he missed me. Which I get that, but totally not acceptable for being “in training” for 5 weeks. I was also shown his walking skills Which again didn’t see any improvement at all. I was also told at pickup that they would reach out to me to schedule some follow ups at my house. He came home the beginning of February and have yet to get a single text/call/email from them. To top it off, I strictly asked that if he was getting low on food to please let me know and I would run some more over. I sent enough for 4 weeks but was not anticipating him to stay an additional week. They never reached out about his food getting low and instead took it upon themselves to completely switch his food to a different brand. To say I’m disappointed in the whole experience, is putting it a nice way. I am beyond upset and frustrated with it. At this point, if I could request a refund, I would!!! 0/10 do not recommend!

We had an issue with our dog lunging at the front door when visitors arrived and while walking on a leash. We also had issues with charging the backyard fence every time someone walked by on our street. Turn Around Dogs (Amber) came out to our house for 4 visits. She identified why these behaviors were happening and trained US as to resolve. Amber also made a visit to walk with us and our dog. It took a concentrated intentional effort on our (HUMANS) part. Ambers visits were 9 months ago. We are pleased with the progress we have made. Training takes intentional effort by humans. Turn Around Dogs is willing to work with you. It was necessary for us to have Amber come to our pet's home to witness behaviors. We highly recommend TADs! They are great!

We sent our 9 month old puppy Emmett to Amber and Pete to learn some basic manners, such as kindly walking on a leash and recalling on a remote collar. Emmett benefitted greatly from the month-long board and train. We are seeing continued progress even 3 months later! It was a blast seeing updates on Turn Around Dogs Instagram and Amber sent photos whenever we asked! We HIGHLY recommend Turn Around Dogs for any of your dogs training needs. 10/10
