About True Canine Training
True Canine Training offers consistent, positive, and personable training so your dog is clear-headed and motivated to learn. We are located in Scottsdale, AZ, but will work with dogs and dog owners up to 150 miles from Scottsdale. We educate the dog owners on our methodology so clients can reinforce their dogs' training and we provide excellent customer service. We offer both Board & Train and In-Home Lessons, and we provide lifetime support for both the in-home lessons and the board and train program.

My dog struggled with reactivity and pulling/tugging, and she progressed very well with this program. There’s is no more aggressive barking and strangers, no more lunging at other animals etc. she’s doing amazing.

I could not have asked for a better experience with True Canine Training. I sent my two golden retrievers for two weeks of boarding and training and they came back different dogs - in the best way possible. I can finally enjoy them both without the stress and anxiety I used to have. I would do it a million times over and cannot recommend this business more. Brendan was and has been incredible to work with, my boys are happier than ever, and I’m so relieved. True Canine Training is truly the best!!

If you own a German Short Hair Pointer (GSP) you will understand why an extremely satisfied customer is a true testament to the competency of TrueCanine Training. Ben was the first trainer we contacted on search for a board and train program. We spoke to at least 10 other board and train business owners and not one measured up to the kindness, knowledge, and personal interest he immediately demonstrated. And the results were nothing short of amazing. Ben brought back our Daisy with an abundance of impulse control, zero pulling on the lease and walking right next to us, and the recall necessary to keep her safe. She now joins us in all kinds of pet friendly places. Daisy was our dream puppy and with Ben’s help, (he did a great job of training us as owners as well!) she is the best canine companion. I smile and think of Ben every time we are out on a walk and someone says “your dog is so well behaved”.

Wow! What a great company. I would not have chosen any other company. My boyfriend and I were looking for days on days for the right trainer and we just could not find the right one until we reached out to True Canine Training. Then we got a call from Ben and he told us about his company and was able to have a meet and greet and start our training process. They have a few options to chose from, we went a head and chose the At home training because it worked the best for our schedule. An we wanted to watch our puppy grow as long as watching each other grow as we gained the correct knowledge to train a puppy. With in just 4 weeks we were able to travel with our puppy in a plane and train him all his basic obedience with the help of Ben. We loved how serious he was about his job and about how much he actually knew. Not only was it a class for our puppy, but for us as well. Definitely a great experience and worth every second of it.
