True Canine Training

Ben and True Canine Training have been LIFE CHANGING for me and my German Shepherd, Ziggy (3). I am beyond grateful to them as working together was EASILY one of the BEST decisions/investments I’ve ever made! I was at my wits end and hopeless the day I reached out to Ben. My dog was aggressive, pushy, overly protective, anxious, insecure, and frankly down right annoying a lot of the time. I couldn’t walk him without him trying to attack/chase cars, couldn’t have him in the car without him barking his head off, and couldn’t have people over without special intros that only went so far, among many other undesirable behaviors— I felt like my dog ruled my life and I wondered how I would ever make it another decade with him (yeah, was living in dark times!). I'd also invested in private dog training in the past and it really didn’t move the needle on anything substantial (had all the same problems as listed above!), but with Ben and TCT, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is now different in the BEST way possible! In just a few short months (and a lot of practice reps!) my dog is no longer aggressive, he doesn’t chase cars, he doesn’t bark in the car, and he goes to his dog bed the second the doorbell rings now and waits there until I release him, allowing people to come inside immediately without fear and without follow-up barking. Did I mention he’s no longer annoying either? Did I mention he seems happier than ever before and our relationship/bond is stronger than it’s ever been? Did I mention that I feel like a 500lb weight has been lifted off my shoulders? That I now understand how his brain works? That I feel confident and proud as his owner? That I now look forward to the next decade with him?? See-- life changing! We did the at-home training option which I was initially hesitant about because, frankly, I was so beat down at the start, I just wanted to send my dog away for Ben to “fix”, but Ben empowered ME to be able to build the leadership and skillset needed with Ziggy, encouraging me throughout the course of all our lessons to feel confident and capable in all his training. I would have never thought I could have played a role in getting these results. Meanwhile, Ben exuded incredible amounts of patience, empathy, clarity, effective modeling, guidance, and tools every step of the way, even being available for support between lessons via phone/text. AWESOME !!! I've done 3 sessions now with Ben Ryba and we've had TREMENDOUS RESULTS!! Archie my 2.5 year old Chocolate Lab is EXTREMELY HIGH ENERGY, very frisky when greeting people and other dogs (always loving and friendly - just TONS of energy), Ben has worked so much of that out of him. It's still on me for repetition, but we've had SIGNIFICANT progress already - especially in stores, and with strangers - WOW!!!
