Trouwe Hond K-9

We had found David by searching online for a trainer for our 7 year old pitbull, Hope. She has always been good natured but very poorly mannered. We had issues with her respecting us in our home. She had never been properly trained as a puppy and was never reliable with commands like sit and stay. She always placed herself between myself and my boyfriend on the couch and in our bed. She was constantly barking at us when we wouldn’t direct our attention to her or if we were giving one another any attention. She ALWAYS jumped on people when greeting. She was overstimulated and reactive to almost everything: sounds, people, other dogs. As owners, we had no control over her and her overwhelming demeanor and we knew we had to do something about it. Thank god for David! Hope did the two week board and train program. The changes within her are unbelievable. Her overall attitude is so much more calm and comfortable. Before she was always on edge and confused on what her role was as a dog. Now she is focused and happy to adhere to our commands. She sits in her “place” and enjoys her time there. She almost never barks and especially doesn’t bark at us. She stays by our side while we take walks and finally has leash manners! No more pulling us down the street. She gladly and gently heels by our side when greeting people. Even her posture is different, she carries herself with confidence now. We are so proud to be her owners. She is so much happier and so are we. We cannot thank David enough. He gave us and our dog a better life. Highly recommended.

We took our 1.5 year old golden retriever Bo to Trouwe Hond and it was the best thing we could have done for him and our home life. Bo had some dominance and behavior challenges that Dave was able to identify and successfully correct. Bo is so much more obedient, well behaved and polite! His responsiveness to us is wildly improved and impressive. He now walks very nicely on leash and when off leash follows us around the yard and house. Dave is a great, professional and reliable trainer. Not only does he train the dogs but also takes the time to teach owners on how to implement training at home and ensures that they are comfortable doing so. He is great about answering any questions we have and giving us additional tips. We couldn't recommend Dave and Trouwe Hond enough!
