I have a nine month old German/Australian Shepard female who will refuse to get in to my truck due to previous car sick episodes. I want to take her with me when I go places. I’m very frustrated!! Any helpful advice would be appreciated!

Hi Sarah,
I would recommend talking with your vet about medication for car sickness. It can be helpful to rule out car sickness first before going the training route.

I am not a trainer, but my dog was the same. I got in the back with her and a treat. I sat there for 20 minutes with her without the car running. I got out with her, walked her around the car, then did it again. She is great now!

My experience of puppy classes here has been top notch. I have a pup who is shy and nervous - unlike all the other ebullient pups who were in the class. The trainers took the time every class to give me what I needed to train my pup despite the fact that it was different instruction than the rest of the pups. They were very attentive to our needs, provided detailed class notes via email after every class, and answered questions via email in a prompt and helpful way. I highly recommend their puppy classes.

I don't think that I can find enough positive adjectives to describe Training Spot! From the first contact we found a group of very professional, extremely competent, friendly, caring ladies who absolutely love dogs and are very concerned with their well being.
We were referred to Training Spot from several friends. We have a Golden Retriever who had experienced PTSD and needed to find a trainer who could work with him to help him regain his confidence and work through his issues. Trainer Tera Dschaak-James ended up being the perfect fit for our boy. She has given our boy his confidence back and has helped us more than I can even express.

I have been taking my golden retriever to the Training Spot. The place is friendly, clean and fun. My golden received his trick dog title under Lauren Merge. My Springer puppy is just getting started. I highly recommend this type of training, especially for helping puppies become nice well mannered dogs.
