I highly recommend Top Dog! I'd give it 10 stars if I could. John is great to work with! His training techniques are all about positive reinforcement, instead of punishment and intimidation used by so many dog trainers. My puppy, Ryder, just turned 5 months old and people are always surprised when they learn how young he is because he's so well behaved. Ryder and I actually enjoy "working" together. I first heard of Top Dog when my daughter took her dog, Lincoln, for training 2 years ago. When it says "training for the life of your dog", it means it. We still call with questions about Lincoln and John is always generous with his time and expertise. Top Dog is well worth the investment in your dog!

I worked with John on handling behavior issues with a 1 year old rescue dog our family adopted. We had an incident where after having our dog for a 2 years he got out of our fence and bit another dog. The other dog was much smaller and was injured. (it did heal and is fine now) However animal control was involved and we had to prove that our family pet was not a dangerous dog. John helped me identify the mistakes we had made in the past and explained the behavior that had happened. John had us start from scratch and we were able to actually show video proof that after training our dog was not a threat and had responded to traing completely. 2 years later he is still doing great!
