Tony’s Orange County Dog Training & Cognitive Behavior Specialist

Tony was incredibly helpful as we trained our dog not to chase our cat. He was clear, responsive, provided video resources, and made it really affordable for us. He is the definition of going "above and beyond" and instantly demonstrated authentic caring both for us and our dog. We're really indebted to Tony. It was a difficult period for us and his guidance and kindness went a long way towards helping us make it through. Highly recommended!

This was a truly eye opening experience. We highly recommend Tony & his team. 🙏 Thank you guys! We learned a lot about communication, and not just from our dogs stand point. Really just being aware of how we project our energy outward in general has helped a ton. The program has not only helped our dog manage his high energy. It has also helped us grow as far as being secure with our feelings when we become anxious in stressful situations with our dog. Legend is a very high energy husky. So taking him out in public has just been anxiety attack after anxiety attack. Worrying about him getting loose or starting a fight. It just didn't make sense to us at all how we could affect the situation in anyway. Tony really helped us understand that we have been in control the whole time. We just didn't know it. Now we are way more aware of how to manage Legends energy. We have also become more comfortable with taking the lead with dogs in general. When we go on walks with other owners. We actively switch off dogs sometimes . That really helped our pup realize he needed to always look for direction from humans first. Even if we are handing him off to another person he still has to behave. Again thank you so much guys. This changed our outlook on animal communication. We look forward to continuing our journey. We are happy to know that this was a long term investment in communication that we can use for the rest of our lives. We will always be able to use these tools with any animal we encounter, or any stubborn dog we may meet. 😊

These guys are AMAZING!!!!! Love Tony and all the guys I’ve met with Grumpy Puppy! They know what they are talking about and are so helpful with everything. We had Tony come train our Rhodesian ridgeback, sadly he passed away. We knew when we got our next dog we would most definitely use Grumpy Puppy. Well, we do! Brian is our trainer and I’ve got to say he is great. Has all the knowledge and patience and highly recommend him. Seriously....don’t wait just call!!!! They are the BEST!

On Sept. 26, 2015, I rescued a little Chihuahua. He was so scared running down the street, likely abandoned. Caught him finally but got bit in the process. He acted aggressive with me, but seemed to tolerate my wife a little better. He exhibited signs of having been abused, and had a bad habit of biting, people. No dog ID tag, dog license, or microchip. Everyone, including my wife, wanted me to take him to the animal shelter. But, I wanted to try working with him first. I decided to name him Loco. We learned of Grumpy Puppy through our Vet, and contacted Tony Nila for a free consultation. Tony came to the house, spent an hour with Loco, and determined he'd likely been abused and was exhibiting "fear aggression. Tony believed with patience, training, and unconditional love, Loco could recover from his traumas. We contracted with Tony for five 1 hour private sessions at our house. The results were nothing short of amazing. Slowly, Loco began to relax, and most importantly, stop biting people. We applied Tony's techniques on an ongoing basis, and over time Loco has become a loving dog and fast friend to our other small dog, Nellie. Our friends, who knew Loco from the beginning, are incredibly impressed by Loco's transition to a loving dog. He's still high spirited, and gets into mischief occasionally, but we know he loves Sandra and I completely and we're thrilled by his recovery from fear. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Tony Nila at Grumpy Puppy to evaluate and train dogs with the most difficult presented behavior problems. If it hadn't been for Tony, Loco may not have the happy home he lives in today.
