Tip Top K9 Dog Training

Hi, Ruth. I am very sorry to hear you were unhappy with your training, especially with how much we loved training Hurrikane. All of our bootcamp packages are what we call "However long it takes bootcamps" as we do not put a time limit on them. Rather, we continue the training until the dog understands the commands and we do not charge you more money if it takes longer than the average amount of time. Your dog was with me from 5/21 through 6/13, which is 3 weeks and 2 days. When we did the take home training at the end of the bootcamp, we met with you at the park for 2 hours showing you and your daughter how to do all of his commands. At that training session, the dog did great and listened perfectly for both of you, not just for us, the trainers. Additionally, you both commented how happy you were and that he was much improved. I even gave you my personal leash and collar to get the dog home as you forgot to bring your own. You called me a few days after you got the dog home and said you were struggling to get him to listen to some of his commands, but with others, like his leash walking (your #1 complaint before we began training), he was great. I told you it is very common for dogs to try reverting to their old habits upon returning home, which is why we assign you homework to maintain the commands at home. I offered to both you and your daughter to personally come to your house, around your schedules, and do additional training lessons for free, which you declined and said someone in your building offered to train him instead. Since we last heard from you 2 months ago you have not reached back out to us or attended our free, lifetime group classes that were included with your training at the park where we met to get guidance and practice his training. Instead, you chose to re-home Hurrikane and THEN reach out to us after the fact. We hated hearing that because we loved him and our aim is to help keep dogs with their families. Your statement that he was left outside unattended is blatantly untrue. The only time dogs are ever outside alone is in the privacy-fenced backyard for bathroom breaks no longer than 5 minutes, just like you would leave them outside to go to the bathroom in your own backyard. The rest of the time, the dogs are trained and kept inside in the AC in a secure house with cameras to monitor the dogs. You know this as you initially dropped him off with us and saw our facility for yourself. Your dog was trained around our other bootcamp dogs, my personal dogs, and around the neighborhood on walks for different levels of distractions. However, you opted for our entry-level bootcamp, which forms a very solid foundation and understanding of the commands but does not include training out in public places. Our more advanced bootcamps do include that type of situational training but that is not what you chose to pay for. Our company has trained with the same collar for 10+ years and every one of our locations around the country uses that collar. It was the same one that we covered in detail at the initial $1 first consultation. You never requested any refund from our company, as I have verified that with our office personnel with whom you spoke yesterday, and you made no mention of a refund when I personally spoke with you. You asked us for a copy of your contract and we told you that we do not do contracts or have you sign any commitments to train with us. I am sorry you were unhappy with working with us, but we offered you free private training lessons in your home to help with his transition from us to you and you declined. You also did not bring him to our free group lessons that we have every Thursday and Saturday. As you can see from the rest of our reviews, we do not take advantage of people; we help people. Sadly, it seems as though you did not want our help when it was offered to you. What we care about is helping our clients enjoy a higher quality of life with their pups, that is all.
