FirstBarkJake (trainer) was great! He was thorough and kept us up to date with videos with Bentley! Now it's Creek time since summer school is over!

I’m a seventy year old woman, in Cleveland, Tennessee, who has a lot of energy to raise a puppy. The problem is when I got older, my skin, especially on my arms, was extremely thin and couldn’t take much abuse. Puppies get excited and start chewing and biting on my arms. My skin cannot take the abuse of small bites, cuts and infections. I adopted a beautiful, female Boxer at two months. I tried so hard to train her myself, but I really didn’t grasp what is involved. Before giving up, I called Jake at The Spot 4 Dogs. He assured me that three months is a good age to get started on training. Jake listened to my impassioned plea of how much I needed help immediately. I drove Bella to Chattanooga that very day at the end of May because I was desperate. I signed her up for the four week course. That was the longest four weeks I’ve ever had. I missed her so much. Jake sent videos showing the progress she was making; it was amazing. I picked her up on Friday, June 24, 2024. She was like a different dog. She had calmed down and was obeying commands. We continue to practice her “commands” so we don’t get sloppy and forgetful. I’ll be grateful forever for all the work Jake put in with Bella. She is so adorable! Definitely 5 Stars for: The Spot For Dogs!

We have a 10 month old mini aussiedoodle, Millie, who needed so much help with recall and simple commands. We dropped her off with Jake for the 3 week board and train program before we went out of town. Before we left, Millie would jump to greet people, not come back when called, rush to play with dogs and children, and pull on her leash. After picking her up, there is a very noticeable difference in her behavior! She is able to walk off-leash, attend to commands, and follows directions wonderfully! We are so impressed with Jake and how much he taught our pup. We highly recommend The Spot 4 Dogs!

When we decided to get a Labrador puppy, we did not realize the amount of time and effort it takes to train such an animal. With the demands of my full-time job, and all the other things we have to keep up with, we realized when he was about 2 1/2 years old that the whole process had gotten away on us. Off leash was not an option because we had zero recall. Jake at The Dog Spot turned our situation around! We now have a dog we can walk off leash and not worry that he’s going to get run over by a car…because we now have recall! If you are in a similar situation to what ours previously had been, I would highly, highly recommend this service! You will not regret it!
I purchased the 21 day program at Spot for Dogs. I was very pleased with promptness and all around services that was offered. My Stormi came back with a new personality. It's fun watching her do the commands from training.
