Canine good Citizen test was written by the American kennel Club. With only 10 steps to complete. We require AKC CGC as our first testing on our service dog teams.
Our canine, good citizen evaluate her class is a six session group conducted in various locations, including in the Training Center or pet friendly locations. YES! YOU CAN! The law was written so that you can and SHOULD be part of the training in the entirety of the dogs life, Limited to the puppy stages when dogs go through their learning, phases and behaviors become imprinted on their long-term personality.

Do you provide training for my dog who is not a service dog?
Our training program includes dogs who are not in training to be a service dog. We are American kennel club evaluators, and we provide group classes for those types of classes. We also provide a board and train program. We also provide virtual sessions.

How much does your program cost?
Our program is written to help people be able to afford service dog training. We charge a. Membership fee, which is $$550 every fourth completed session. We do not charge people thousands of dollars to get started on their training. Though we do require working with these dogs at least teams six months, prior to giving any type of verification purposes. Service dogs that start in the board and train program are not required to complete the six months the board and train program takes place of One of those three month. Of time. So the requirement would be three months of follow-up training or more following the board and train program.

Do I have to do the board and train?
Yes, we do offer a board and train program. Our program is two weeks. It's completed in a home environment not in a facility. Spaces are very limited for the board and train program as we only take one or two dogs at a time into the home. Our board and train program also includes an unlimited, follow ups to cover all of the behaviors. The dog learned while in the board and train program To ensure successful transition back home.

Do you provide private dog training?
Yes, we do provide private dog training. Private dog training sessions are generally completed in our training center which is located at 811 E. yellow jacket Ln. Suite 105 Rockwall, TX 75087. Due to the sensitive nature of the work that we do with individuals who have a disability, since Covid we are very limited and going to other peoples homes for any type of training. Send us a text or a phone call we can answer any questions you have.

My puppy Champ had a great 2 week in home boarding session at 9 weeks old before we brought him home. He was really easy to potty train and listened well when we got him back and we even recieved a printed copy of his schedule he was on and training tips. We love the group sessions since they teach him how he should not interact with other dogs unless given the command to do so. It’s a very challenging program for puppies, but was a great experience to get him started in the right direction. However, they let you know the group training isn’t going to work alone and if you registure your dog with the AKC you get a year of training and support and can order cute placards when your puppy passes to the next level. It isn’t really necessary unless you are really into flying or need proof of training for school/work/Air Travel. If you are looking for a cheap solution to having a service dog this isn’t it. Things take longer, because you aren’t always getting one on one training like some other programs that cost less. Also they have to charge you if you miss two sessions in a row even if they say to miss it or they cancel the live session and if you are forgetful this isn’t for you. I forgot to notify them on Tuesday I wanted to attend Saturday so they didn’t put me on the schedule then my dog was sick and missed a session, I was charged for it. Other programs don’t do that. They do everything in their power to over charge you, but if you need an AKC certificate for your AKC registered pet I would recommend this, but if you have a disability and need your dog trained there are better programs out there. The board and train is really good too so I would recommend that service if you need your dog potty trained or house trained it makes a big difference. Overpriced for the training, but the board and train is priced right.

Keisha and Bailey have gone above and beyond to help us and Kimber learn what we need to accomplish this. Here are a few pictures of Kimber learning to not be reactive to her surroundings. The Service Dog Team Academy will answer your questions and help in any way possible. They helped with Kimber by taking her for a month after I broke my ankle and was unable to do anything and my wife couldn't work with her like she needed. They are a great team to have behind you and will support you in every way need we do. I highly recommend them for any training your dog my need. They are great.

Kimber has been working with Service Dog Team Academy on becoming a service dog for me. She is doing great and I'm feeling more confident in working with her thanks to Keisha and Bailey. They are great and always available to help and answer any and all questions. They really devote their time and energy into getting your dog at the level you need. I highly recommend them to anyone needing help with their dog. The pictures are of Kimber working on stay at Lowe's and at the Dr. office working on not being distracted by people.
